I have been sticking so well to plan lately. I even managed to lose 1lb last week even though I had 2 nights out. I'm going away tmw for day and night and I know it will be hard to stick to plan so i decided I won't put pressure on myself. The problem now is its like a switch has turned and I'm eating all around me today... Which is fine on slimming world except for the fact that it's sweets, bars, biscuits.... Has anyone any ideas how to get back to it Sunday or should I be 'drawing a line under it' from now? Ideas please???

I'm a firm believer in do whatever makes you happiest, if that's having a couple of days off then do it, if it's drawing a line under it and carrying on, then do that. But look at it in the way that your stats say you've lost 1 stone 5lbs, do you really want to risk putting on 5 or so lbs with binging. Personally if I'm going away (not sure if it's pleasure or business?) I'll aim for a healthy day and either a nice lunch or dinner out - then you enjoy your trip but you've still kept mostly on plan - plus you can still eat away and be SW friendly.

Maybe draw a line under your bad day, start afresh tomorrow but allow yourself a meal or a certain amount of treats and then stick to it the rest of the day - you won't feel deprived, but you also wont feel like you've let yourself down because you've stuck to YOUR plan, even if it's not 100% on SW plan.

Thanks for reply Llamasoks, that's just like the advise I would give someone else. I find it easier to give advise than to listen to myself sometimes :) u think ill stop the synful foods for today and do as you say tmw, stick to plan as much as possible until dinner tmw night and then just enjoy myself 'off-plan' and HOPEFULLY get straight back to it Sunday morning....hopefully. I'm happy with a small gain or a maintain at this weeks weigh-in but the way I'm eating today in on the road to putting back on all I lost ha ha!

We all have days like it Hun, try not to fret about it and get back on as soon as you feel you can. Remember one meal off plan wont ruin your whole plan, so allow for them occasionally!

  7. How come this stuff is all around you? If it wasn't there, you couldn't eat it. I know that sounds a bit obvious, but it is too easy to eat stuff when it is calling you from fridge and cupboards!

I know that is the big problem really, there are still people calling to see the new baby and lots of boxes of chocolates and packets of biscuits being brought. I try pawning off as much as I can to family and visitors when they come and I am usually very good at staying away. If I can't stay away from them tmw ill just have to get them all out of the house I think!!!!

  9. Two possibilities - is there an organisation near you which collects food for the needy?

Alternatively - presumably you have a dustbin? :)
