help plz reguarding veg in freezer

    Hi all

    Ive got 2 packets of swede and carrots outta date today, so i was wondering if i bang both in together in pan and do i just par boil them and then whack em in freezer in bags for so many days or make it up and then freeze it :confused:. Does it matter or make any difference if made up???

    I'd blanche them in boiling water and freeze in a single layer on baking trays if you have the space - this stops them sticking together so you can use small amounts at a time.

    I generally chop veg up and freeze in portion sizes.

    The when I need it for soups / stews just bung it in frozen
