So it's my first week on exante and I need help! I had a great first 4 days until we had to go to my parents in law for dinner. Didn't want to tell them I was on this diet, so ate normally. The next day was hard but I made it through on ts.

Then I had a day off work and ended up having major binge. Today was good on ts until 6.30pm and then ended up eating whole massive chocolate bar.

What's wrong with me?! How can I get the motivation to keep it up. I lost 9lbs in first 4 days but even that doesn't seem to have motivated me. If I hadn't broken for dinner that one night I think I'd have been okay still.

I think it's much harder if you come off it for whatever reason, and if you have to keep breaking it for different things, you may find a different diet will suit you better. Or perhaps you could opt for working solution, and factor in one low calorie meal a day. I think it's worth spending some time and focusing on what your goal is, and why you want to do it. If you are eating regularly with other people, I would consider telling them as well, and trying to get their support for what you are doing.

I find telling people you're on it helps massively, you will get the 'oh it's bad for you' and 'just eat a bit' but if you tell them then you can stick to your guns. My monster in law also known as poison dwarf hates that I'm losing weight, she's always telling me it offends her that I don't eat when she's here (luckily not much) but I'm not stopping her losing weight, and I kind of like it when I make her cross she's got no will power. I'm only evil with her, I'm quite nice really.

As Rachel says, if you come off go on and come off you'll be here forever, I say, get it done, get it off xx
Thanks so much for your advice. I am really serious about this as need to lose the weight for myself and my health. I've told everyone now so no excuses. I'm taking last week as a practice run and re starting properly tomorrow.
