Hi!

Im starting Dukan from scratch from Monday, just needed a little help?!

I know your allowed no oils or fats-what do people cook with?

some use fry lite ..have you read the book yet ?

Hi James and Welcome!!

No, I'm afraid oil or fats are not allowed. You have two options when cooking - put a tiny bit of olive oil in pan and rub nearly dry with kitchen roll OR use a Fry Light-type spray (my preference).

Just keep in mind that this isn't Atkins - its VERY low-fat and lean (what I believe lends to its great success).

Best of luck to you and keep your questions coming - this is a great board for getting on the right track!

Ive been reading the book today but have found it a bit confusing! I was hoping I'd be able to use fry light!

Can I use canderel sweetener too? And is there anything I should know before getting started?

Thanks for your help! :)

sweetener is fine

One of the handiest Dukan cooking tools is a really good non-stick pan and frying pan. That way, you often won't need any fat at all when you're cooking - and only the tiniest smidgeon at most. Silicone baking trays, muffin tins and cake tins are also really helpful.

i use a low cal cooking spray - but grill most things

I often poach fish in a little skimmed milk...
