Coming up to the end of day two and I hate it. I just want to eat, something simple, like an omlette.

I hate the flavours of the lipo shakes and soups and I just can't imagine doing this for three months. I feel like hell.

Is Cambridge any better? More flavours etc...

Sorry to be on such a downer.:sigh:

hello sweetie is there any of the shakes you like? at first i didnt like them and thought no way cant do it but once on added less water and a sweetner it was ok and no i like them i crush some ice with them and they are lovely. i decided this week to have chocolate one and i do the same as i do with the strewberry. also i tried the vanilla with coffee and it taste like toffee and that is lovely and to be honest i am a right fussy cow just ask my other half! there is so many ways you can make the shakes maybe ask how people do it all you have to do is find a right way you like and stick to it hun thats what i had to do. good luck hunni and dont worry about being a downer we dont think that at all. xxxx

hey -there are nicer flavours on CD definitely but I find LT a little more filling tbh Also adding coffee to vanilla and choc shakes makes them like an iced latte -or make them hot. Choc with peppermint tea -hot or cold is lovely. Blend them with ice and add a sweetener (esp strawberry to make it nice). Check out the stickys for good tips!

Liberty, I felt the same in my first week, especially after forcing the soup down (don't have it now - urgh!) but just stick it out for the first week, you have already spent the money after all. If after your first WI you feel the same then try something else. Once ketosis sets in you will feel better and the shakes only taste weird coz you're not used to all the vitamins and minerals in them. They do taste better. I love the strawberry one and think it tastes better than a MacD's now!!!! Try making them with different amounts of water till you find a level that suits you.

Good luck hun and try and stick it out for the whole week coz it will be soooooooooo worth it.

I couldnt stomach the soup as I had to down them in one I hated them that much but now they are quite tasty (still not tried the soup again tho lol).
I would say keep at it as you get used to the taste. I used to prefer choc but now like them all but cannot do them hot, I know adding coffee etc is meant to be nice but it doesnt work for me. I also find I have to blend them really well cos if I dont I dont really like them either they taste bitty to me if not blended for ages.
I have tried the CD but I agree that they arent as filling for me & altho there are more flavours they still take getting used to.

I've just taken some painkillers, so hopefully my throat and head will stop hurting.

I wonder if I can take the soup back and swap it for strawberry, I didn't take any strawberry shakes because I don't usually like that flavour, but I think anything is better than that chicken soup. blek.

Hi Liberty, i'm on day 3 and can honestly say i felt like givin in yesterday but i feel much better today, i don't like milkshake at all never had one from McD's (honest) but i find if i split my morning shake into 2 (either choc or vanilla)and have with coffee and hot water and have one at about 8.30 b4 work and 1 about 10.30 it's much more palatable... I know it's hard but plz stick with it coz if all the newbie's give up i'll ave no one to share my journey with, I promise it does get better

most chemists will change them for you also if you go back one page there is a whole list of recipes that you can make ie muffins which might help you feel like you are eatting hun. xx

Hey hun.

Seems we started at the same time! I know exactly how you feel. I can now just manage to drink the strawberry, rather than hold my breath and down it!
Have a long bath and relax. Its going to be tough but if you want this with your heart and soul you will get through it!
We are on the brink of ketosis which will help no end.
