Here Goes my New Start!

Hi all,

Just about completed my first week on WW. Decided it would be a good idea to share my food diary on here so here goes...

I am allowed 22 points a day

THURS:

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt skimmed milk (1/2)
1 tsp sugar (1/2)

Lunch:
1x slice of bread (1 1/2)
Tin of tomato soup (2 1/2)

Snack:
20g cheese (2) - cheese is my guilty pleasure!
cherry tomatoes
Cucumber

Tea:
1x pack of golden vegetable rice (6 1/2)
Yoghurt (2 1/2)

Snack:
1x banana (1 1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 19 :)

FRIDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt skimmed milk (1/2)
1 apple (1/2)

Lunch:
1x slice of bread (1 1/2)
Tin of tomato soup (2 1/2)
1x WW carrot cake slice

Snack:
20g cheese (2) - cheese is my guilty pleasure!
cherry tomatoes
Cucumber

Tea:
Large jacket spud (4)
Coleslaw (3)
Virtually fat free cottage cheese (3)
Marg (2)

Snack:
1x banana (1 1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 23 1/2 (saved 3 from yesterday) :)

SATURDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt skimmed milk (1/2)

Lunch: (went out for a picnic with friends)
12x melba toast (2)
1 pot of virtually fat free cottage cheese (3)
Handful of strawberries (1/2)
Handful of grapes (1/2)
cherry toms
cucumber
1 1/2 ww carrot cake slice (1 1/2) - little one didnt like his!

1 scoop of strawberry ice cream (4 1/2) - this is a guess?!

Tea:
100g potato smiles (3 1/2)
3x fish fingers (3 1/2)
peas and carrots
2 tbsp ketchup (1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 22 :)

SUNDAY:

Breakfast:
2x slice of toast (3)
1 large banana (2)

Lunch:
6x Melba toast (1)
1 pot of virtually fat free cottage cheese (3)
1x WW carrot cake slice (1)

Snack:
1 small apple (1/2)
handful of grapes (1/2)
cherry tomatoes

Tea:
1x packet of savoury rice (6 1/2)
1/4 pint of SS Milk (1/2)
Yoghurt (2)

TOTAL POINTS: 20 :)

MONDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt ss milk (1/2)

Lunch:
tin of tomato soup (2 1/2)
1 slice of bread (1 1/2)
1x banana (2)
6x cadbury snaps (3)

Tea:
100g pasta (5 1/2)
4 tbsp sweetcorn (2)
1/2 tin of tomatoes
2 heaped tsps WW creme fraiche (2) - guess?!

TOTAL POINTS: 21 :)

TUESDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt ss milk (1/2)

Lunch:
tin of tomato soup (2 1/2)
1 slice of bread (1 1/2)
1x banana (2)
6x cadbury snaps (3)
6x wine gums (1 1/2)

Tea:
1x tin of beans (5 1/2)
3x small slices w/m toast (3)

Snack:
mug of hot choc made with 1/4 pt ss milk and water (2)

TOTAL POINTS: 23 1/2 - saved 1 point yesterday and 2 points on Sunday :)

So it's Weds and D Day! Here is what i had today....

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt ss milk (1/2)

Lunch:
3x slices bread (3)
1x banana (1 1/2)
1 apple (1/2)
handful of grapes (1/2)

Snack:
1/2 Gregs cookie (2) ??
2x extra light laughing cow triangles (1)

Tea:
1x jacket spud (2 1/2)
half tub of virt ff cottage cheese (1 1/2)
half tub reduced fat coleslaw (2 1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 18 :)

And i am pleased to announce that my first weigh in left me....

3.5 pounds lighter!

Hi all!

Thursday today and i feel great!

Got back on the Wii fit this morning with new enthusiasm... looking forward to next week's weigh in already!

So here is todays food so far...

THURSDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pint SS milk (1/2)

Lunch:
6x melba toast (1)
3 extra light laughing cow triangles (1 1/2)
6 slices wafer thin ham (1)
1x slice of malt loaf (2)
bit of marg (1/2)
Handful of grapes

Tea:
Herby Chicken Kiev (homemade from slimming world recipe, with loads of salad and 50g new potatoes) (7)
1x extra light laughing cow (1/2)
The odd strawberry when i went to the fridge! (hmm - what do you count that as seeing as loads is only 1/2 a point??)

TOTAL POINTS: 16 1/2 - saving some up for a wedding do tomorrow night :)

Friday onwards...

Hello - thought i'd better update on my diary this weekend. Had a bit of a tricky one as far as counting points goes but i have tried my best....

FRIDAY

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt Skimmed milk (1/2)

Lunch:
6x melba toast (1)
3x extra light laughing cow triangles (1 1/2)
60g wafer thin ham (1)
tomatoes and cucumber

Snack:
1x banana (1 1/2)

WEDDING!

2x malibu and diet coke (2)

Wedding Food
No idea what the points were for this but i saved 6 points on thursday and have a remaining 14 1/2 from today so hopefully it covers what i had to eat:

1x samosa
1x v small cheese and mayo sandwhich
1x tiny mini pizza thing
1x cheese popper
2x small bits of cake

TOTAL POINTS 22 + 6 from yesterday that i'd saved...

SATURDAY
(stayed over at a friends so had to have what she was offering... plus was in York all day so eating out for lunch didn't help - grrr)

Breakfast:
30g crunchy nut cornflakes (3)
1/4 semi skimmed milk (1)
1x slice of toast (1)

Lunch:
1x sushi pack (4 1/2)
Shapers crisps from Boots (1 1/2)
1x scoop pf ice cream (3??)

Tea:
Homemade curry and rice (8 1/2)
mango chutney (2)
small naan bread (2)
1/2 beer (1 1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 27 1/2 :( Not happy....

SUNDAY
(went to Flamingo land and went out for tea)

Breakfast:
2x weetabix (2)
1/4 pt skimmed mik (1/2)

Lunch:
6x melba toast (1)
3x extra light laughing cow triangles (1 1/2)
60g wafer thin ham (1)
cucumber, tomatoes and grapes
1x WW caramel wafer (1 1/2)

Snack:
handful of chips (2)
2x laughing cow triangles (1)

Tea:
Chicken and prawn salad (approx 5)
Salmon and salad (6 1/2)

TOTAL POINTS: 22 :)

So - not a GREAT weekend but i still have until Weds to claw back some points to balance it out.... back on the Wii Fit tomorrow morning as well... i can really tell now when i don't do it.

OH dear....

Sorry guys - i havent done very well at keeping up with this have i! I guess it is a bit redundant now! Good news is i have my first silver 7 - very pleased with that result! I have allowed myself a bit extra today just cos i have done so well but must remember to save my points for a couple of days to make up for that.

Does anyone else struggle to eat all their points?? And what have people been told about trying to eat them all? I spoke to my leader yesterday and she said there was no need to try to finish my points if i wasn't hungry cos just eating for the sake of eating is not a good habit to get into but of course if i was hungry then finishing up my points at the end of the day was fine...

Sounds like common sense to me - can't believe how easy this has been so far. I am sure i just having beginners luck and that i will start to struggle soon!!

Anyway - i will try to remember to write in here more often!

Week 5 and still going strong!

Hello all,

Week 5 and i have lost another 1.5lbs! Im so proud of myself for doing this and it appears to be working really well! 5 more lbs and i will have my first stone!!

Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me and supported me!!
