Hi there! I'm Clare, I am a serial yo yo dieter and I am not afraid to admit it!!

I have been of the SW way of life for the last 6-8 months now and have decided that it's about time I stopped messing about and sorted my eating and drinking habits out again!

After I had my son (when I was pregnant I put on nearly 4 stone ) I joined SW and reached my target weight within 18 months, only to be told 2 weeks later that some medication I needed to start taking to prepare me for an operation would make me put on weight :(.
I decided to hell with it, if I was going to put on weight anyway, I might as well enjoy it so ditched SW and went back to my old ways.

It was the shock of seeing a picture of myself looking bigger than I ever had been before which made me go back to group, where I eventually reached target - again this February.

Since then, I have split up with my husband and am now a single, full-time working Mum, who actually still has a life! The weekends that my husband has my son I have been making the most of my freedom and partying hard. But the reality has hit that I can't carry on like this and I have to take control of what I am eating and drinking or I will end up piling back on all the weight on that I have worked so hard to lose over the last few years!

Well, that's enough of my rambles. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you more and sharing tips and ideas to help each other stay on track!

Hi Clare.

Well done for coming back :) and for juggling work, children and still having time for yourself - that can't be easy!

I'm back on the wagon myself today.. Ive only had a couple of weeks off but I've been messing about the past few months and have put on about 9 pounds since my lowest sw weight..

You've made the right decision in heading back before your hard work is undone and you know you can rely on this place for support and advice!

Have you got a food diary on here, it really helps me stay focussed and keep track of my syns..

Well done and good luck :)

Hi. I rejoined yesterday. Been losing and regaining the same stone for the last few years and decided enough's enough. Life's tough enough without being fat as well!! Well done on getting back on track and good luck x

me too - i dug out my sw book before and i will get this stone and a half shifted. I have been a bit low as a friend has lost 6 stones on one of these low carb diets - i tried and i put on weight which can apparently happen if you have thyroid problems. I never manage to lose more than a lb per week and got demoralised at the meetings i went to as the leader was really negative about that and wanted to push me into more ( i know my own body and that is all it does !! )

i really would like to lose 7lb by xmas - am going for the slow and steady approach and not beating myself up about it all.

Thanks Ladies! I know we can do it, lets face it we've done it before :)
This time I am doing it from home and not going to group (as i just can't justify the expense these days!) so am going to need a kick up the bum every now and again I think lol!

This place is definitely the right place to come for tips, motivation and ideas.
