Hey, i just stumbled across this site!

My names stacey, im 19 from shropshire, the couple of years i have put a little weight on and its really beginning to depress me now! i hate my arms, they feel chunky, i cant wear any top without a jacket or shrug, thats how much i hate them! its the middle of summer and you can imagine how hot i feel with my arms constantly covered up!
at the moment i am 10 stone - size 12, maybe 14. im 5"3, im short so being 10 stone just makes me feel really frumpy... i would love to lose 2.5 stone! and be a size 8. my food weaknesses are crisps, and alcohol (strongbow cider) i dont exercise as i have no motivation! but now that my weight is beginning to become an issue, i really am eager to lose these few stone! i have no idea about diets and dont know where to start. as from tomorrow i am going to eat as little as i can, and when i do eat i am goin to make sure its healthy.
i have a brilliant ministry of sound exercise dance dvd, and am going to motivate myself to do the dvd workout everyday.

any advice would be much appreciated! obviously i dont want to cut alcohol out of my diet as i am a real party animal! ive heard the best alcohol to drink when your on a diet is spirits with diet mixers? is that right?

xxx:p

Hi there

Welcome to Minimins.

Id highly recommend WW as a good option! You can socialise, eat and drink alcohol and so long as you count it in your points it wont affect your weight losses.

Spirits with a diet mixer is great on WW as a shot is only 1 point for things like vodka, gin etc and diet mixers are free :) Bargain!!

Good luck what ever you decide on.

Hi xstaceyx and Welcome to Minimins :D:D

Hi and welcome. I would also recommend WW as you can have anything you like as long as you have the points available. Good luck

is there no home diets you can do? x

Hi Stacey, welcome to the forum. I do Slimming world and I love it. You can join online or do postal membership. Just google any diet you fancy doing and you will get all the options available for that diet. Good luckk with whatever you decide to do x

i dont want to join a club hun.

ive seen some of the diets on this website! the liptrim one looks good but do you have to be obese to start that diet?
iam a little confused as to what the other diets are...
are there any threads i could be linked to with a list of cheap low calorie simple meals/snacks? x

hi, welcome to minis.
i think you need to look into a number of diets and pick out the one thats right for you, it might mean trying a few before you find one that really works for you, as well.
if i remember rightly there is a calorie counting forum, where people might be able to help you a bit more if you want to do an lcd. have you thought about a low gi one, thats cheap, easy and sustainable option.
Good luck
