High Cholestrol

Can anyone advise please? Just started this diet and loving it. Hubby's seen what i'm eating and is sooo jealous. He's got high cholestrol tho so not sure if he's ok to do this. Is it best to check with doc first or it a no no???

I am on meds for high Cholesterol and my doctor is more than happy for me to be doing Atkins as long as I am regularly checked and keep her informed.

I'm sure the Atkins book says your cholesterol will drop - I've just googled and some say it makes it worse, and some say it doesn't.

I was on statins for my cholesterol & after 6 weeks on Atkins had to come off them as my cholesterol dropped, that was 15 months ago & my cholesterol has been healthy ever since, all on Atkins!

When I first started my cholesterol was in the danger zone...after 4 weeks it back to healthy levels.

Yes, check with the Dr but I had very high Cholesterol readings when I started, but within 3 months ity had dropped to very good and better than normal

Thanks guys. He's gonna check its ok but sounds like you've all had great results from this diet. As well as losing weight of course!!!

It says in the book that it can reduce your cholesterol
