Hoping to lose to gain

Hello, I am Susie and heading towards 50 years old (fast!).

I was a nice curvy 9 stone for years. I stopped smoking about 8 years ago when my partner moved in and started to put on weight - not helped by his penchant for takeaway food and stodge and my lack of willpower. I was made redundant a while back and no success yet finding a job near home - I think things have got a bit on top of me as a result and I have been getting heavier and heavier - now over 12 stone.

BUT... as portion control is my biggest problem I think the Slimming World plan seems sensible AND my partner is going to do it too :).

Not going to go to a class yet - hoping to gain confidence by losing a bit and see how it goes. What a great resource this forum is so thanks for all the tips that I have picked up.

The only problem I have so far is that there are so many posts on the SW part of the site, let alone the other parts - how do you keep up?!?

Click the new posts first and then unread posts! See if you can help or get tips then move on down to older posts lol. That's how I do it anyway.
Welcome and good luck

Thank you for the tips Kate - good luck to you too as I see you also joined recently.

You'll start to recognise names in the SW section and follow their progress in their thread which will be in the diaries section.

Good luck. And join the class don't be afraid.
