I lost 6 stone and reached goal in early 2011. Since then I've been a size 10-12. It has changed my life!!
I'm back at the moment because of experimenting with carbs in November/December. I eat a low carb/paleo diet for maintenance, and find it works really well. Then for some reason decided to try eating more carbs in November... crikey!!
So lesson learned (again!)
Maintenance IS possible, but you have to pay a lot of attention to what works for you. In my case that means turning the 'low fat' mantra on its head as I find carbs are what start the insulin rollercoaster and weight gain for me: cravings, sugar highs and lows, bloating, water retention and ravenous hunger! When I eat low carb I feel brilliant!
