HOw long b4 my BP drops?

Sez

has started again!!
At my first BP check last Weds, it had not changed at all, despite losing 31lbs. Should it have changed by now or am I just where I should be, even tho I have a BMI over 44?
It was over 90 at the GP, at my pre LL check up and it is still the same.

Just wondered, thanks everyone!

Don't know the answer to this one sorry Sarah, mine had dropped a little when I had my 4 week check but mine also wasn't high to start off with.

BP is one of those individual things that I don't think you can really predict, some skinny people (like my mum) have high bp and here's me with 10stone to lose with low.

I would expect it to come down at sometime but no one can predict when. Your bmi is still high.

my BP was high when I started and my bmi was 36-37, I guess my BP dropped whn my bmi was around 30 (I think) and its now pretty much normal. So losing weight CAN help but it isn't the only factor for some people. My BP was above 90 as well, can't remember what it is now but its ok!

If nothing else lowering your weight makes the high blood pressure slightly less of a worry in my opinion anyway!

Keep going I would think it will come down eventually
