How long to drop a dress size?

I really struggle dropping sizes-being so short, I was still a size 16 in a lot of clothes at 10 st 7 lb , so I have a long way.It would really help if sizes didn't change depending on where you shop.Some places I'm a 16, other shops I'm 20-24, really drives me nuts!

Totally agree! For me, coz I have a sizeable rear and thighs, skirts I can already wear a 14 but trousers I'm squeezing into a 16...
