How many calories burnt is too many???

how do u exercise that many cals...

i have read you should eat ur 'exercise cals' so i guess eating none of them is not gonna be good for you

If i eat 1400 calories a day. and burn 1000 in exercise... am i creating too much of a deflict?
1600 calorie deflict a day.

I think you would be exhausted. Burning 1,000 calories in exercise is an awful lot of exercise:eek:

Though I haven't checked, logically it doesn't feel right.

Whether you should eat your exercise calories or not, really depends on your calorie intake. Sometimes it's good to eat them, sometimes it's better to eat half of them, sometimes it's better not to eat them at all :D All depends :)

I can burn around 700-800kcal riding to school and back so 1000 is very doable.. And then I'm going pretty fast...

It's nearly 2 hours of non stop jogging. Too much for me :eek:
+- 1h very fast on bike LOL. :p

Sucks bigtime in rain and wind. Bah! :mad: It's so not enough burnt calories with that terrible weather!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also interested in this if anyone knows?

My current diet is 1200cals a day but I like to exercise, and not sure how much is ok to do.. Like yesterday I did 21,000 steps although didn't stick to the diet at all, but if 10,000steps burns about 500cals (at least), then that's over 1000 cals burned yesterday, if I'd have stuck to the diet that would've been only 200cals! Doesn't seem right to me.

Here's something a friend sent me (from a personal trainer), can't verify the "truth" or not of it, but it seems to make sense to me:


"As well as following the nutritional advice, you will also need to a keep food diary and an exercise log detailing what activity you have performed throughout each week.
The goal is to lose between 1-2 lbs. of body fat each week. In a lb of fat there is 3500 calories so to lose 2lbs of body fat per week that will be a 7000 calorie deficit. This equates to 1000 calories a day.

You will be need to be exercising 5 days a week fairly intensely looking to burn 250 -500 calories per day through physical activity and a create a deficit of 500 calories per day through correct nutrition.
Focus on daily goals such as going to the gym or cycling to work as well as your long term goals to achieve the weight loss and improved fitness goals."
