How many syns to have in a day...

I have re-started SW after a very long gap (caused by regularly moving cities and never being able to commit to attending a particular group). I am going to attend my new local group in a week's time, but am so motivated at the moment that I'd like to start now, before I attend.

I am just wondering how many syns you advise having per day? I can't remember whether it was 10 or 15...
What has worked best for you?

Between 5 and 15 -it is up to you -but always at least 5 a day
For a newbie I would suggest starting at 15 and seeing how it goes

I don't really buy in to the at least 5 a day thing because I think its so people feel they can have a treat. If you don't want to syn but are making healthy choices instead (fruit instead of whatever etc.) and getting the Healthy Choices in then I don't see there being a problem. NB. I am not a nutritionist! But you know your own limits, if your one of those people who get really tempted then syns are a good idea because you can have what you fancy.

I don't really use syns, but when I do feel tempted into something syns are a good way of limiting damage. :)
