How much is to much?

Sorry, no idea! I get quite tired so I haven't tried any exercise but there are a number of people posting here that are going to the gym.
Perhaps your CD counsellor will advise you if we are all a bit clueless tonight!

My GP tells me not to exercise on SS but my CDC says the gym is a good habit to get into now??? TBH I think I'd find a class a bit much whilst I'm SS'ing but the important thing is you listen to your body and do the right amount for you :)

There is no way I could join a gym whilst doing SS .. not enough energy x

I'm switching between SS & SS+ atm, and go to the gym every other day. I do 30 mins (total) cardio on the stepper, ark and x-trainer and quite a lot of resistance and core work. Takes me about 1.5 hours.
I was already fairly fit, cause I've always walked everywhere, so if you're not used to exercise I'd build up slowly.
I've not tried an exercise class since the 80's!. I'm so uncoordinated I used to cause chaos, so I find the gym is the best option for me, plus I enjoy it! And you can go at your own speed, and have a break if you need one. You're not holding up the rest of the class, and you're usually not surrounded by mirrors!;)

What plan are you on?

If it's SS then don't, you just won't have enough energy.
I'm now on 810 and feel a lot better and have enough energy to go out for a run most nights (i'm sure losing 6 stones might also help :) )

But on Saturday I'm going to play rugby, so I'm going up the calories again buy eating some more chicken (protein).

One thing I have noticed since exercising more, my weight loss has slowed down, but inches are still coming off

Your body will tell you, and everyone is different.

Learnt that through experience ...... the results of too much are not pleasant at all, either at the time, or afterwards.

Be careful, and when your body starts to let you know that something is not right .... STOP!

Im on SS but im not doing it to lose the extra weight, its because i want to lose 7st 4lbs and will have lose skin etc so want to work on toning that up, i dont feel like i dont have the energy for it i feel alright so ill do 2-3 classes a week just to get a bit of tone in my body.
