How much water to drink?

If you drink more fluids during the day does it help you lose weight? I am really bad at not drinking enough, I have a drink with each meal and thats about it - 4 glasses a day max.

Should I make the effort to drink more and since I don't like plain water is sugar free cordial ok to have instead?

On any diet, the more you drink the more you shrink, you should drink at least 8 glasses or 4 pints a day.

Thats not actually the case. It may be on VLCDs like CD but not on SW or WW.

Upping your water intake on a food combined diet like SW wont show an increase in your weight loss the way it does with a VLCD.

It doesn't aid weight loss but you can mistake thirst for hunger so if you think you are hungry you should drink some water. Also if you drink water about half an hour before a meal it will fill you up a little and you will eat less (apparently!).

I drink at least 1.5l of sparkling water, usually flavoured, a day plus 3 -4 cups of green tea.

It is recommended that EVERYONE not just slimmers drink 1.5 - 2l a day.
