Hi guys,

I've recently started the EE plan. It's only been a few days, but I have to say that so far, I'm quite enjoying the meals I've had. It's really surprised me how much I can actually eat! I think finding out that smoked salmon and homemade oven chips are free were the best ones. It's also nice to see that I don't have to give up eating desserts and other sweet things either (I think that would have been the most difficult). I tried the quark chocolate mousse last night when my chocolate craving wouldn't subside, I have to say for just 4 syns (two portions because I'm greedy :D ) it was pretty yummy! I guess I better stock up on the quark now...

So anyway, bit of a random post, but I just thought I'd say hi :)

Thank you Squiddie, for your very helpful and informative post.

I gained 2 stone last year, due to taking medication that had weight gain and increased appetite as side effects. I'd heard a lot of good things about Slimming World - being able to eat until you are satisfied/full and not feeling like you are deprived definitely appealed to me!

I'm still very much a newbie who is finding my feet, so thank you again - I lost 4.5lbs at my first weigh-in, so the diet definitely appears to be working! Your post has also helped me confirm the mistakes I made in the first week - mainly not always reaching for 'speed' or 'superfree' food as my first choice between meals. I'd been snacking on grapes, bananas and blueberries, only to discover that they are not actually superfree - oops. Crossing my fingers for that half stone award next week!

Fab Thread for a newbie! :) Cant wait to start properly!

Thanks for your updates xxxx

Ooh thank you so much for this. I have just started SW and while I did (after a while looking on the website) get to grips with what it's all about it's great to have it here in plain english :D

Thanks squiddie. I am trying SW to maintain target weight loss I achieved with WW. Fed up with counting points. Tried to join SW but I don't have at least 7 pound to loose. Your explanation of the plan is excellent. Along with the magazine I am sure I can follow it.

I didn't know that you had to have 7 pound to join slimming world? Is it not recommended for maintaining then? Not that I'm at that stage yet!! :p

Please don't archive this thread.
Squiddie has also said she will update over the coming weeks.
This thread still has a lot of useful info for forum members actually doing SW - and a lot of the advice and hints are still very relevant.

Hi Guys,
Can you please offer some advice on what SP is? Do you just do the odd day on it? I am going it alone at home at the moment but will be going back to SW in the next month. Many thanks.
