How to use my Steamer?

Hi Guys

Does anyone know how long i would need to put frozen vegetables in the steamer for? I want to try it out tonight going to do baby carrots, broc and cauliflower and some cabbage

Depends upon the steamer, really! I have a microwave one, and nothing really seems to take longer than five minutes or so in that, but a normal electrical steamer will be different.

Its a electric steamer, it has 3 tiers

Did it not come with instructions? Every appliance is different so its best to follow manufacturers instructions x

Try for 5 mins then take bits of veg out to make sure its cooked through if not leave a few minutes more

I think i might have a very similar steamer to you. Fresh veg takes about 5 mins, frozen about 10, but I rinse it in cold water to loosen some of the ice first before putting it in steamer.

I can tell you that fresh broccoli disintegrates to a disgusting mush after 15 mins........
