I waked into the living room and found my other half and my (female) housemate (who is by the way very thin and attractive) sitting at the dining table having their dinner just like a couple and chatting away happily. And where am I? shut in my office . I am miserable.

just you wait till your as thin as her (and clearly have the better personality hence your other half being with you not her!) and you can walk round confidently in your bra and pants looking as great on the out side as you are on the inside! your house mate wont get a blooming look in!!
