    hi,

some of u may remember me, i did LL about 2 yrs ago b4 unexpectedly falling pregnant....i did really well on it and really surprised myself how committed i was.

since then i gained alot of weight with a really bad pregnancy, i weigh more than i ever have, currently at about 16 st and really really want to return to LL. I tried so many diets over the last year, im no less now than i was a year ago!!

the problem is the cost. money is tight and my partner is not keen for me to do LL because of the cost, but he does think its the only diet that works for me and was really supportive the first time.

im seriously thinking of doing LL but not actually telling him :-( im not a dishonest person...just desperate!!! he would not notice as we often eat at seperate times....by the time he noticed serious weight loss, he would be so shocked and pleased and id tell him my little secret. my meeting would be a wednesday evening.......the same time as my current WW meeting so it would all work out. and he would not notice money as other than household expenses, we have seperate finances. i know that if i really want this, he would be supportive but im also scared of failing too....

in my heart of hearts i think......lets do this!!!!

    id really apreciate some advice

    sarah xxxx

Take a look at the Exante forum on here - same kind of thing but they sell the sachets online and it's tons cheaper than LL. I think if you buy a month at time, it's only £25 week. A lot of people have switched from LL to it with people's finances being as they are lately.

    Hi Sarah,
There are loads of other VLCD diets out there ...W8, Tony Ferguson, Lipotrim etc ...but in my experience (cos I've tried 'em all!!!), without the group support you feel pretty much on your own.
Did you find the group support made a differnece for you before? I guess if you have the drive to do this on your own, then you could go with one of the cheaper options ... maybe give it a try first to see?
Whatever you choose, I wouldn't keep it a secret from your OH ... this in itself might make it harder to get through.
At the end of the day it is entirely upto you .... lots of luck with whatever you decide

    lots of love

I agree - honesty is always the best policy. I would feel deceived if my hubby did something like that.

Exante is far cheaper, and you will get the same results -you just wouldn't have a group to go to.

    Good luck. :)

    Hi,

Thank you ladies, i have already decided that to not tell him wouldnt be helpful although i know he would be understandable. i find the group support a huge help and i really dont think i could do it with out my meetings so i am going to speak to my other half later and tell him how much it means to me. i will also look into other options that would be more cost effective and see where this leads......wish me luck!! xxx
