I Can DO This

I'm on my first day and I'm thinking of food all the time and what things taste like and oh that would be nice right now. Does this go and where does everyone get there will power from. I'm going to get a dress I really want and hang it on the wall in my hallway of the size I want to be. Do you think this will help or just make me grumpy. :)

It will definitely help! I've done that with a few small dresses. Other things I do is look at photos of me or stand naked in front of a mirror...definitely not happy with what I see! That has to go! Makes me more determined.
Don't worry - once you are in ketosis you won't feel hungry and you'll be full up from your shakes. You just have to get though the first few days and it gets easier, I promise. Remember why you are doing this, it's such In short period of time in your lifetime - and you will look and feel amazing as well as being healthier, it's so worth it to stick with it chick.
Is there an event or something you want to lose weight for?

Hi Nomore, i look at my 'fat' pictures to keep me motivated and i think without them i wouldnt have got this far they were a huge help. I also made sure i kept very busy the first few days so my mind had other things to think about besides food. Good luck on your weight loss journey , this site and the people on it are fab and are a HUGE help :)

I found it easier to almost take it an hour at a time. 'I'm not going to eat anything for the next hour' and then repeat over and over again. It breaks it down into smaller chunks so your willpower isn't being quite so stretched.

I've been on the diet since the end of January and I'm getting close to the end of my CD journey. It's not actually until now that I've started to think about food again. After the first week I just settled into the groove of it and muddled along quite happily.

Thanks for your reply. How much have you lost?

Nomore, if you look at people's profile to the left, it ususally tells you how much they've lost. Not everybody reveals their status but most do.

Keeping busy is definitely a good idea during the first week, I'd say. My house has never been cleaner, lol! Also, I repeat "nothing tastes better than skinnier feels" over and over if I feel tempted. It's worked so far!

It does get easier without a doubt. I can't believe that I've had NO carbs and NO alcohol for 30 days now! CD does kind of become a way of life after a few weeks.

I've lost 16lbs in 4 weeks and 12 inches - that keeps me motivated!

Good luck with your journey. You will find this forum a fantastic support
