What hope is there if I cheated on week 1!!! I had half a yorkshire pudding yesterday - I couldn't help myself! What a weak willed woman!!!

I didn't have my 4th pack to compensate for it but I still feel like  that I did it. It's my weigh in tomorrow, too. I got weighed at the pop in session on Sat and I'd lost 5.5lbs - hope I haven't put on!

Karen whats past is past, you need to just chalk it up to experience, note the triggers that made you eat, and then work out ways that you can avoid them in the future. People slip up, that's life hun, but you will be a stronger-willed woman if you say, 'right that was a mistake but it isn't going to stop me achieving the weight loss that I want'! Stay Strong! I can only second what Angela said, it's happened, it's in the past and you just have to work to not letting it happen again. You can do it :)

    Hi Karen

Get straight back on that horse, drink loads of water and forget it. Tell yourself that is your one & only lapse allowed.

Good luck with your weigh in - I would be surprised if you put on, but it may have knocked you out of ketosis. After week 1 when you are well & truly in ketosis it should be a whole lot easier. It is not EASY but it does get easier.

Good luck babe & next time you feel you want to eat come on here & shout up, we are all here for you.

thanks all. I really am back on the wagon and I very much regret falling off! I got some ketostix today and according to them, I'm in ketosis. I don't feel hungry at all (I wasn't hungry when I ate the yorkie either!) and I'm thinking positive for tomorrow....thanks for your support

You can go either of two ways here. One way - learn from this valuable experience and DO NOT allow it to ruin your future success, or the other way - just tell youself what a failure you are (again) and allow yourself to 'fail' again and again over the next few weeks.

Your subconscious is trying to sabotage what you are doing.

You are moving out of your comfort zone and some part of you does not want you to.

Your behaviour is completely normal. You now know to be vigilent when it happens again. Over the next few weeks you will learn strategies to cope with these feelings.

Please be honest when you go to your next meeting and talk to your councellor about what happened, the circumstances, how you felt before, and after. Ask for help and you shall receive it. If you feel confident enough, ask if it can be discussed with the other members (I know at this time you don't know them and may feel uncomfortable admitting something like this). It is immensely comforting to hear of others' experiences and indeed, you may find that other members may have done the same but not been couragous enough to say so. Honesty is going to be an important factor to your future success and healing. Honesty with yourself as well as others.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey Karen. You've made a great start in being honest!

Take each day as it comes and learn from your mistake.
But congrats too on you're first week even with the blip - it should get easier now.
