I would see your doctor to get this advice. I am taking a slimming pill because I have tried everything else, however, do not necessarily think that it is the right way to go.
As Starlight said if you can follow sensible eating, please try that.
It will also depend on how much you have tolose, any other problems e.g.. blood pressure, heart problems, as to whether you should be on this medication.
