i need help

ih im new to all this so here goes im a 31 y o male and i drasticly need to loose weight there are lotts of diets out there and i need results can any one suggest a diet or has any one had good results with a diet like i say i need help like all men i need a guiding hand lol ive let myself get in to a state i cant see a way back from any advice would be apreciated thanx in advancs dave:)

It depends on what your 'aim' is? You could do a variety of different things- you could join a slimming group/club (most have men-only sessions if you're shy?), you could calorie-count using online food logs, you could follow some of the 'special' diets (low GI, Atkins, JUDD etc.) or you could try a VLCD (meal-replacement diet).
What 'plan' you decide to follow will depend on a few more things- your willpower, your desired weight loss, how fast you want to shift it etc.?
Have a read through some of the diet forums on here and see does any of them appeal?
