I just needed some help from some experienced people!

I'm starting my first job very soon, can someone please explain to me how tax works?

Will it be deducted from my pay automatically? Also, what's all this tax pay-back system? :S I'm really confused, any help would be appreciated!

Any tax and/or National insurance you will have to pay will be deducted before your employer pays you.
You will get a pay slip and it will show what you have earnt and what they have taken from you.
