We've been asked to bring in red food for our party next week.
Anyone got any ideas for red day party food/nibbly bits?

i'm thinking of taking some smoked salmon mini roll thingies...

mix quark with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

take a slice of smoked salmon and spread the quark mix on it.

roll up

then cut into sushi-sized peices :)

totally free on red! x

Oooho Beki they sound nice - you know what would give them a bit of zing? Sage!

excellent idea - thanks for that :D i've got a sage bush outside my kitchen door so will be out picking next thursday morning :p lol

I'm going to give the strawberry cupcakes a go off the slimming world website, i'm not the best cook but hoping they turn out ok! x

Thanks for that one, it sounds gorgeous! I am going to make them for myself with a bit of dill and lemon. x

How about a jelly and fruit terrine? I made one and it was fab, takes a bit of time but you do a layer of jelly and fruit in a loaf tin, let it set, then a layer of jelly with a strawb yoghurt stirred in, let it set and top with another layer of jelly and berries. Looks fab and only has syns for the jelly!

Oh, and it's red.

Or save loads of time and buy a M&S cherry berry terrine, only 3.5 syns for a 100g slice :p

Though it'd probably be less synful Jaylou's way...

What about making a free green day pizza with a smash base and topping with sliced tomatoes and red peppers.

I think they want food that is red or has red in for the class party, right?

oooh i was confused cos of the red day prefix  lol

but smoked salmon's a pinky red anyway...

I thought it was red day food, but hey, who cares? Can I take red wine? :D
Loving the smoked salmon thingy. It sounds yummy
