Hey Emma, welcome back!

Sorry to hear your news about your Dad - there is never a good time for that sort of news but around Christmas must have made things very hard on you all. Do you know what treatment he is going to have yet?

It is completely understandable that you have been comfort eating, and 10lb is not so bad, taking all things into consideration - someone in my group put on 12 without all the stress you have been having!

Maybe in the coming months, if you view SW as the one thing you can control (because there will be plenty you wish you could but cannot!) it will help give you some stability during a difficult and tumultous time for you and your family emotionally.

I am not going to pretend things are going to be easy, but SW is a great way to keep an element of control over some part of your life, when the rest of it has gone crazy.

BIG hugs to you, and whenever you need to talk, we are here xxx

Thanks girls.

madam we are waiting to see what treatment my dad will be offered, so fingers crossed.

But your so right slimming world is a good way to be in control of something when everthing else is going crazy.

And if i put all that weight back on, i would feel so defeated, so im one determind cookie now.

once again thanks for kind words girls

Welcome back Emma. Really sorry to hear about your Dad. It's really understandable that you put a bit on with all that worry, but 10lbs is really not a lot in the grand scheme of things. You've lost loads already and shown you have real grit and determination to lose so much in such a short space of time. A little blip in the food regime doesn't change that. Good luck honey and keep posting!

Oh Emma I', really sorry to hear about your dad :( I hope his treatment is arranged soon & he makes a full recovery.

MM gave a really good bit of advice re the control over the food - I think thats a great way to gain a focus on something right now. You have already done the hard bit by realising now's the time to re think & get back on the SW way.

Good luck with everything & more importantly, I wish your dad all the very best x

Emma - I've just recently lost a dear friend to cancer, my best friend to cancer in July (aged 49) and my closes friend now is embroiled in a battle - not even mid-40s with a young daughter.

It's all around and a horrible, horrible disease. You will be amazed how many people this touches but try and be strong. i know by comparison weight-loss seems, and indeed is insignificant, but when you are ready, you know you can do it as you've already demonstrated splendidly.

Be easy on yourself.

Steve

Firstly sorry to hear about your dad, hugs x but well done for getting back on track. It is understandable that you have not focused on the plan as you have had other worrying matters to deal with, you are only human after all. Take one day at a time and never change is always their and SW is for life :)

Emma, I am so glad to see you back. I have missed you, two animal nuts together.

I am so sorry about your dad. As you know I have been down that long and difficult road myself and am still here to tell the story. Today's treatments are fantastic. Most prognosis are so good. O.K. the treatment is in most cases is pants but oh so well worth persevering with. I know I did the whole 9 miles.

The most important thing is that he is motivated and you can help there.

Please let us know how he gets on,

lots of love and hugs,

your animal nuts friend ! xxxxxxxx

Hi Emma, my babes are all well.
I lost my little tabby cat Nena 2 weeks ago. I am still coming to terms with it. She was a little poppet, never a minutes trouble.
My doggies are brilliant, still making me smile and a great source of exercise. They are loving that side of SW.
All the other 4 legged family members are doing well. Mucking out is also keeping me fit.
How are your babes ??
So glad to have you home !!
