The post I responded to was in Cambridge 100% section where it is supposed to be NO food talk and just the 3 or 4 packs per day for the SS step. No one has said people cant eat chicken depending on which stage you are at.

I get what your saying BUT she asked a question and I gave my opinion.
I'm not into slanging matches, I'm way to old for all that so I shall just leave it there but I don't get how its ok for her to be rude to me just because she didn't like my response.... Maybe I should go running for the hills crying ? Oh no I'm a adult so maybe not ! If people don't want honest varied responses they shouldn't post on a open forum. We all have opinions and I still don't feel I said ANYTHING personal or out of turn which would warrant her nasty response !

It's called support :)

Can you please read my response and tell me where I wasnt being supportive ? I'm not having a go I just don't get why my response was taken any different to the others who responded with the same

Depending on what plan your on.....

I have 3 packs per day,

1 porridge ( from a pack )
I then have a hot chocolate at lunchtime ( from a pack )
Soup for tea ( again from a pack )

there are different stages though so not everyone just has the 3 packs per day. Your best to look on the Cambridge eating plan website to see if it would be something suitable for you. It can be very restrictive but the rewards are fantastic x

Sinead, you should be completely fine with what you have eaten. I know exactly how you feel, I had to go out for a work lunch earlier in the diet...luckily we went to harvester and i had plain chicken lettuce and cucumber. I felt sick with worry eating 'real' food, but it actually turned out to be one of my biggest loss weeks! so you wont have done any harm. Plus we do have to introduce food at some stage..and if we were to only eat chicken and lettuce we would waste away!! try not to worry yourself xxxx

Lauren - thank you :)

I had a long chat with my CDC tonight & she said there's not much difference in between SS and SS+ at all, and the weight loss difference is hardly anything. So i feel a little relieved to know if i do need some chicken or a salad that i can still lose weight. Thank you everybody for your really nice messeges :) xxx

It is always nice to have some flexibility in a plan. It is rigid enough as it is. I am sure you will have a brilliant weight loss.

hey sinead, just to make you feel a bit better, i sort of caved myself last night and had chicken and beansprouts from the chinese! i only had a very small amount though as my OH cleaned the rest off for me! anyway, i weighed yesterday morn and i was 11st 7lbs 8oz and this morn I was 11st 7 lbs 4oz so the weight has still come off (only a little bit) and that was with chicken cooked in a chinese sauce which must have significant amount of carbs in so I wouldnt worry. also, dont forget you are getting measured too so even if the scales show a little blip, i doubt that tiny piece of chicken will show up on your measurements :) good luck for friday and let us know how you do! xx

Thanks so much honey :) - And your chicken and beansprouts could of been worse too.. it could of been pizza hut!! Imagine that!! When is your weekly weigh in? I'm nervous for mine on friday haha!! xx

yeah thats what i told myself - i could have gone for the whole lot, rice, chips chicken balls - that's my usual! instead i opted for something that i knew would be sort of allowed on the plan and only had a little bit but although i did feel slightly disappointed i felt so much better having had some actual food! i think i'll try and do ss+ for maybe one or two days out of my SS weeks and see if that helps my motivation, maybe this would work for you too hun.

my weigh in is tonight, trust me to grab the chicken the night before haha! hopefully i'll still have a good loss and good inch loss too so i'll update you tomorrow on that weigh in. i'm sure you'll be fine for friday, u mentioned in another post that you had lost half a stone already was it? so you're obviously on course and trust me, your chicken looks much healthier than the chicken i had!!

I totally agree with you when you said you felt so much better for having that bit of chicken last night, because i did too. I also have thought maybe SS+ could be better for me as i have such a big amount of weight to lose, but i think it was something i had to realise myself. Best of luck for your weigh in, can't wait to see how you did :) Yeah, on monday my doctor weighed me (only 3 days after i started cambridge) and i had already lost half a stone. So hoping for 8-lb for friday! xx

hey sinead,

please dont beat your self up over the chicken, its fine its one of thise things - at the end of the day ive seen posts on here from people advsiign people that if they "have" to eat something its better to choose something from the SS+ menu, after all its not as if you have eaten something that you have not had control over!

personally, and this is just my 2 pence worth, i think you made a very concious (sp) and sensible decision, you thought with your head and not with your stomach (iykwim lol) and, if at no time were you "out of control" with eating that meal - then i think you should be congratulated for the sheer strength and willpower.

this diet works differently for different people depending on their attitude and the end result they want, lest face it your only human and you have another 11 weeks of SS (or SS+) and sometimes you need these "controlled" moments to keep you on track, 'cos lest face it; if you start seeing this diet as deprivation you will fail.

Good luck sugar - and im certain your going to have an amazing loss tomorrow - keep us posted
Love V xxxx

Thank you V :)
(my weigh in is on friday though :p) hehe!!
I think SS+ will deffinately work better for me in the sense, i don't want to feel like i'm depriving myself! xxx

just remeber this isnt forever - its just the short term and saty focus on YOUR end goal - everyne has a different agenda for doing this diet - FOCUS on YOURS and what YOU want. -
your doing fab hun keep at it and most of all enjoy your new body xx

Honey I am on 810 and still losing 2lb a week so please do not beat yourself up about an SS+ meal :). You are doing great xx

2lb a week wouldnt be enough for me at all :( hope i lose at least 3.5/4lb a week!! x
