Insane Ramblings on Route to being Fit & Fabulous Forever

So very happy with my dinner - declaring the noodles a success! Not very hot but a nice flavour to them and I'd marinaded the chicken in some hot stuff so was spicy enough!

IMG_0715.jpg

I marinated strips of chicken in some lime juice, rice wine vinegar, dark soy, chinese 5 spice, hot chilli powder and some garlic. Fried off peppers, onions and some spring onions. Stirred thru cooked noodles for few minutes then scoffed! Not with chopsticks as I'm rubbish and end up dropping more than I eat. Could be a new cunning way to diet?

Had lovely day but came home earlier than planned as weather was miserable. Ended up dying my roots. Had picked up wrong colour so gone a bit reddy brown rather than boring brown!

Off to catch up with everyones news x

that looks yummy xx

Morning typing as I watch the tennis so excuse any typos!

Got up early and was debating my run as it was tipping down. But I looked at weather forecast which says snow and cold next few days so thought if I didn't do it today might be several days missed! So put on my kit and swapped from my usual long baggy top thats 5 sizes too big now (but that covers the lycra clad wobble beneath!) to a shorter more fitted rain proof top. I felt slightly uncomfortable about how I looked. I decided not to aim for any distance just to go out and run and if rain too hideous turn round and come home. But actually I really enjoyed running in the rain - other than worrying my recently dyed hair was dripping coloured drops  I actually ran my fastest miles so far and managed a total of 3.5 miles. Did have to strip everything off as soon as I got in the door as was very soggy & dripping. Changed into some dry workout gear to do my KB core & Davina boxing workouts. Had those playing on my laptop so could watch tennis on the TV - multitasking :D

Have nothing planned for today other than watching the tennis. Will be browsing here for inspiration , recipes and giggles whilst I watch :p Might take car to jetwash later but not if remains rainy!

OH...MY....GOD (said in a Janice from Friends voice) - forty miles? FORTY miles??? Blimey Shelley you are amazing - you must be soooo fit, I can't even imagine running a mile! But it's obviously the exercise for you, you sound like you just love the exhilaration of it, and you are very motivated to run in the rain! :D Must be such a good feeling, coming indoors and getting dry, cheeks glowing with the cold and dripping with hair dye (you nutter!) :D

I was chatting to a real life friend who is doing SW about my food obsession - even though I'm thrilled how I'm doing I do still find myself thinking about food lots. What I'm having when I'm having it and often even if I've just eaten and am full up I'm still thinking whats next snack / meal.

I do the same - I'm always thinking about menus and food - not so much the actual eating, but lots about the preparation, recipe reading and so on - but I don't think that's a bad thing - we're just using all our brain power to make sure we eat the right sort of food to get to target :).

Enjoy the tennis! :)

(you nutter!) :D

I take offence at that comment however accurate it maybe :p :8855:

I guess we're harnessing the obsession somewhat?!

Tennis is amazing and painful to watch at times and I bow to them as superfit beings!

Weirdly I find I feel more energetic after exercising, although am sat on sofa watching the tennis under my slanket so perhaps not today :8855:

must admit im same xx just been to shops and then park with kids before dinner and its really helped me feel energised again :)

:wow:you are one AMAZING lady! I am totally in awe :worthy:

You are making me tired just reading about your exercise!!

Well done and keep it up :superwoman:

Whilst being in total awe at your running all those miles.... I'm slobbed on the sofa today, reading and generally being pretty lazy  but I have however, watched two episodes of the delightful Shemar and I'm sure that has raised my heartrate hehe :) xx

Uh oh you're gonna have to share him Shelley...:D

How was your day, lovely?

Haha, there is enough of him to go around ;)
Mind you, in the second episode I watched, he was handing a key to his girlfriend as they were moving in together, sigh. Ah, yes, its only a programme and they're only acting hehe. :)

It really gives me energy & am bizarrely and insanely addicted!

Thats a great way to raise your pulse. All the Shemar talk got me doing a Criminal Minds marathon DVD session whenever I can get time on TV!

I like Cloudy lots but share Shemar

That was me :8855:
(deluded me - never!)

Evening Shelley, hope your well hun and you've had a fab day ! ;)

Kay xx

Hello lovely Kay. Nice to see you back around and can't wait to here tales of your new fab healthy plan!

Hello all,

Having a few issues with internet at home so this is a quicky from work. Can use the App at home on my phone but its really clunky and find it tricky to browse & enjoy with the same vigour! Hoping to have things sorted soon. Be aware I'm watching and reading if not replying as much as usual!

Had an amazing & daft run this morning. Woke up early as usual for exercise (!) was raining so thought hurrah can go for a run. By time I got kit on and outside it had stopped however the ground was frosty & icy. So a few slides as I warmed up but thought I'll carry on for a slow run. About 10 minutes out down came the snow all of a sudden and very heavy. OMG I was like a human snowball. Plus landing on the icy ground meant I was slip sliding around :8855: I tried to keep going as it was actually really good fun but nearly fell over several times so headed home and did a KB & then boxing DVD instead. Will try and get out again tomorrow weather permitting!

Suddenly loads of people are noticing my weight loss - virtually every conversation ends up with a discussion. Reckon I should get bonus from SW for all my positive raving about the plan!

Will try and catch up on few threads now :D

Rather you than me out running in this weather :D It's really nice when people notice weight-loss, makes it feel like it is worth it, especially on a bad day!

Oh my gosh yes Cloudy is right, don't hurt yourself doing it - even if you do a feel the need to be a snow-woman! :)

And hope you get your internet sorted rapidly hun! But how lovely that you're getting lots of compliments, and so you should! :D
