Intro & My Journey

Hi everyone, Ive been on here for a bit but would like more friends please!!

I thought Id tell you bit about myself and my weightloss journey.

Im 31, very overweight and miserable! Done WW before and lost 21 lbs but now am much heavier! Always trying to watch what I eat and diet, but never succeed but this time I really need to and want to.

I have a daughter who will be 2 in August and is severely disabled so I have to carry her everywhere etc so need to be a lot slimmer and fitter to do so as shes only gonna get heavier! I have also been in a bit of ill health lately with chronic fatigue syndrome and now rheumatoid arthritis, so really want to help myself. I also feel fat and ugly so would like to NOT feel this way!!

Anyway, week 1- this is the FIRST time Ive been in the 15's and I hope that its gonna be the last! Week 2- was a little dissapointed but my TOM started the following day so Im putting it down to that! Ive been really good and am really hoping to do well this week. Id love 4.5 loss to make it my first silver seven in 2 weeks.

Regarding these boards, do you guys have to tick or add something to give me rep power and do I have to do the same thing to others? Im a bit of a technophobe on this site, not sure how it all works yet!

Hello and welcome puddinpie! Lovely to have you on the boards. Sorry you have been having a rough time of it atm with your health problems. But you've got the right idea about helping yourself. I used to play a lot of sport and in October i cracked my hip and just mopped around for ages but then i decided to do something about it and already it is soo much better. So hopefully i will be back to sport very soon.

With regard to reps you can give people rep but clicking on the scales in the left hand corner of blue strip on a post. Likewise they can do the same for you. :)

If you need anything do not hesitate to give us a shout. Everyone is really friendly and will be more than happy to help you out.

Hi there puddinpie and welcome. I'm in the same boat as you - health problems etc and have mucked about with WW and other diets - keep losing the same stone and putting it back on again, grr!!!

I'm in the 15s as well so maybe we can support each other.

Hi thanks everyone, Ive been trying to be really good this weekend as Im hoping for my first silver seven and half a stone in 2 weeks, tomorrow.... Probably aiming a bit hight but hey! Its been difficult tho coz we had a fundraising weekend were all there was to eat was cakes and sausages this was fri and sat. Then on sat night I went out, but i made good choices and have been as good as I possibly can! Will let you all know how I get on tom night when I get back.... NERVOUS tho!

Also if I want to keep using this thread every time, just to keep it as a diary kind of thing, then how will pple see it if theyve havent origiannly replied to it?? WIll it just reappear on the forum thingy?? (do you like my technical language?!!)

Hi there, sorry for the late welcome! Minimins and WW are the best things ever and you'll soon be addicted to the site!

You are doing the right thing and you can soooo do this. With all our help we will all get there!

You're diary will automatically show up on the forum so no need to worry, just go on everyday and keep us up to date on how you are doing.

As everyone else has said, everybody is lovely on here and so many times I could have given up but it's thanks to these guys that I've kept going.

Hi well ive been good today in what ive eaten but will have gone over my points by 1.5 i think....shall i just take this off tomorrows allowance or forget about it? What do pple think?have been peeing all day too for some reason! Also been to work today and been quite active so not sure whether to make this the allowance for 1.5 or be strict and take off tom......... Hope you all getting on ok. X

Been a bit of a funny week so far, had my good loss on mon and think I just went WILD with my "night off" and seem to have been working to lose a bit of extra weight gained then until today! Ive weighed myself at home (which i know i shouldnt) and back to what I was on mon now so hopefully i can lose a pound or two before mon.... would love my silver seven. Hope your all getting on ok. X

Hey don't worry about it hun. My night off turned into a whole week-and a 4lb gain! :cry: So ya know, things could always be worse! lol

Thanks guys. Have also mentioned on here about taking orlistat at the same time took it twice yesterday with lunch and tea but today had massive gripes and was in agony after i ate my first thing (which was lunch about 14.00) i was so ill and ended up vomiting in pain and then giong to bed. dont know if its orlistat tho but not had any with my tea. Also I wanted to know bout aunt bessys yorky puds and on the box of the ones you cook for 20 mins from tin foil i worked out 0.5 for two but someone else has said that they are more, i used my ww calc and everything!!! hope your all good, any help or ideas and thoughts on my scribblings wil be gratefully received. Jude x

Hope everyone else getting on ok. Am gonna be even stricter bount tracking this week in a bid to speed up weight loss a little... just coz got so far to go to get to 10%. Jude x

Well done on your loss hun that's fab!!

If you want a glittery 7, just copy one from someone else and paste it into your signature.

You should be really chuffed chick, well done!
