Is a little curry powder in the soup ok?

as long as it contains no salt then it's ok. I was having curry powder and realised there was salt in it so I don't have t now :-(

oooh good idea! I hate soups!

Thanks Mrs Scoffalot, it's the sharwoods medium curry powder and i don't think there's salt in it, I will check again to make sure though!:)

Afraid there is salt in it, it'll make you retain water :( Have you tried dried chilli flakes?

I have used a sprinkle of curry powder from the start it is yummy... i dont have enough to cause salt probs....
it was a CDC on here that recommended it as a seasoning like salt and pepper.
I use chilli powder too

i was told tabasco was ok previously is this still the case i wonder?? x

Hi

No to tabasco as many things added to it.

Re curry powder official guidance is 1g to a pack, however, it comes with a warning that it can cause hunger in some.

i was told tobasco was ok?! hmmm

I think the soups definately need something added to them, have you tried fresh herbs? (Are we allowed these... lol)...

i tried a spoonful of vindaloo powder to the vegetable soup last night. What a difference, it was almost edible!!
