Is it me or does everything i drink taste very salty ?

Hi, yep I had that in the first couple of days! I'm on day 4 (my 1st weigh in on Thursday) and that taste seems to be going. I have been drinking loads of water and sparkling water seemed to help. Dont let it stop you carrying on, keep going!!!

Ive read that a few people have found there shakes to be very salty. I had bout two days in the 2nd week were my shakes tasted like milk i hate milk haha! I tink it mite be you body pushing out the toxins since your only on day 2 i doubt your in ketosis yet so it wudnt be that your tasting.

To be honest i cant remember how everything tasted in the first week (thank god) i can just remember i didnt like the tastes haha!

Hopefully it will sort itself out if it continues maybe say it to the pharmacist at your weigh in??? It mite just be that you had a lot of salt in your diet and its pushing itself out.

Good luck and you will probably not notice after your weigh in coz you will be so happy.

I keep getting a salty taste aswell, sipping water helps also my chemist recomended an oral spray called retardex and that helps xxx
I am on day 7 , first weigh in tomorrow :) I too found the shakes really salty for the first 2-3 days but to be honest they are tasting lovely now, especially chocolate and strawberry !!! I only tried the soup once and dont think I have the stomach to ever try it again :jelous:
I would have thought that the shakes probably contain some salts as they are needed for a healthy diet , to think everything you need is in there they are bound to taste a little strange !! But honestly the salty taste does go when your taste bubs 'forget ' normal food :)
