Is it possible to lose 2lb a week up till Christmas??

Hi all,

I've had a break for a couple of weeks and am gonna change my ww class as I don't think my leader is very supportive.
The question is I'm about 11st 4 and would like to be about 9st 7 by Christmas. Is this possible, as in can I lose 2lb a week up until then??? any advice please xxx

I think that's a bit of an ambitious goal really. I'd say that you're better setting yourself something more achievable (maybe a pound a week) otherwise you might be setting yourself up for failure, which could make you feel more disappointed and end up falling off the WW wagon.

Thanks! I think I'm really eager to get it off by then but I know slower is best.
I agree with the others, a pound a week would be a great goal. If you aim at 2 a week and only make 1 any week you will end up feeling depressed, but if the aim is 1 and on some weeks you lose 2, you'll be feeling so encouraged you'll be more likely to stay on track.

Im aiming for 2lb a week as i wanna lose 2 stone my xmass, ive been avraging out at 2.5 lb a week at the mo, its not impossable and i think its good to set a goal but dont be diapointed if you dont manage it and remeber that a loss is better then nouthing, I think if you stay active and track and plan you can do it, never say never!!:)

Also even if you want 2lb a week don't think it like that. Think more an average per week by the end because losing 3.5lb one week is great but if you only lose 0.5lb the next week it doesn't feel as good. But if you lost 2lb each week I'm sure you'd feel better!

Took me a long time to get my head around that idea!
