I feel so awful about it, after all the encouraging words I've given other people, and now I've gone and done it! :break_diet:

It was a 21st birthday party and I was determined NOT to succumb to the delights on offer (including some I'd made myself). But I'd reckoned without the trio of fierce old aunts, who were aghast at the thought of my 'dangerous' diet, and who were determined to hold me down and force-feed me their home-made birthday cake (well, almost!)!! :sigh: The awful thing is that as soon as you cheat, you cheat AGAIN (and AGAIN!). So then it was one of my little cinnamon buns (that I had to taste of course) and a salmon sandwich and a stuffed date - terrible! :eek:

I even felt sick in the car on the way home, so I learned my lesson. As I've told so many other people (and seen others do too) I'm putting it behind me and just carrying on as if it never happened (although the scales will probably tell me different on Monday!). Fortunately I've got no more events of this kind coming up, so I will hopefully be able to hold myself in check. Isn't it awful though? All my gritted resolve out of the window! :cry: (At least I wasn't tempted by any booze - I toasted the birthday boy in fizzy water! :D)

Don't worry, these things are sent to try us. As long as you ge straight back on it, it shouldn't be a problem.

The other weekend when my friend was over, I spent the whole weekends scoffing, Maccy D breakfast, Franky and Bennies twice... and still lost 3lb that week! I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hiya,

Dont beat yourself up - the main thing is that you are straight back on the wagon. I am having the same problem with my other half - he is doing everything possible to get me to eat something. Sunday is turning out to be a very long day!

Keep going.......

Awww, don't feel bad, just put it behind you and move onwards and upwards :) I was devastated when I 'accidentally' ate about 4 of the gingerbread men I was making with my little boy last week, and I really felt like a failure, but if you just get back on the wagon with determination, you'll be fine :).

Don't look back,it's done now -look forward and look upon it as a lesson learned.

It's really hard when you are placed in an awkward situation - I think you were rather restrained, you could have really pigged out but didn't. :)

I'm sure you will have no problem getting straight back on track. Good luck x

You are so right about the possible pigging out - my mother-in-law took three gateaus, which normally I'd have been straight into, but I avoided them all! (OK, there was also a curried sausage - cards on the table, lol!)

Thanks everyone for what you've said. I almost hope I don't lose weight this week, otherwise I might think it's OK to eat a bit (and the weight loss might reverse - eek!). It IS a lesson learned though - honest! :eek:
