I've got a lot to lose

#1
Hey everybody!!!

I have to lose quite a lot of weight (around 10st to be precise :sigh: ) and apparently I'm not alone here. It seems like most of you (who have already lost or are losing lots of weight) went to VLCD like LL or Cambridge.

My issue is that I've tried those two and even though I lost some weight, it wasn't for me. So my question is, do you think I'll be able to lose all this weight on either Slimming World or Weight Watchers? i think I'm a lot more likely to stick to one of these and chahge the way I go about food. I also realise that I'll take me more time to get to my ideal weight but that's cool with me.

Don't be shy 2 post ur opinions and experiences!!! Thanks:)

Its possible to lose the weight WHATEVER diet you choose... the only difference it makes is the time... I have a friend who is doing really well with slimming world, although I can't say the same about WW... I know there are alot of people around here who are on it and have had results!!!

Good luck with whatever you choose:)

Hello Cherish!

Me too I have to lose a lot of wait, mainly for my health, and also because I want to feel better in my clothes.

I am not following a VLCD either, as my GP thinks it would be very detrimental for me (because of health problems). At the moment, I just try to eat healthily, 3 balanced meals a day. I hope it will work! The weightloss may not be as spectacular, but you are right when you said you need to find a diet that is reight for you.

Go girl!!!!! I will try to read your thread as often as possible.

Once you find the diet thats right for you and you have the right head on then you most certainly can lose the weight. I've got a friend who did Slimming World last year, she set herself a goal in January 07 to lose 3 stone by Easter and thats what she did! She came off it for a while and managed to keep the weight off, she lost another 2 stone just before Christmas!
i think VLCD are fab, the results are very quick but they're not for everyone.
Hope you do well, whatever you decide to stick to. *hugs*

Some people like to take the motorway - some like the scenic country roads.
Both routes have their merits as well as their down-sides.

But if the journey proves too difficult via one route - that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the traveller; just the road.

Solution? Pick a different route :)
