January 2009 - Starters

Hi all =)
Having heard quite a bit about MiniMins in the meetings, I thought I'd better check it out for myself! just started week four now and gotten into the swing of things, though still find myself gazing longingly towards particular foods and at particular times!
anyhoo, keep up the good work everyone, del x

Hey Del, lovely to see you! :wavey:

We don't go on too much about here do we?

Hope week 4 is going well for you :D

Hey there!
thanks for that, lovely to see you too :)
going well so far but a depressingly large sack of foodpacks, roll on sunday night lol.
hope things are going well for you too and I'm sure you'll be seeing much more of me on here now
take care, del x

Hello Del! Hope its all going well for you!

Had a rubbish day today but NO naughty f-word thoughts. I am surviving this right now - which is what I think is the best I can hope to do - so long may this continue.

Decided to swap my 7 vanilla packs for the week with an extra 7 chocs to take them to 14. I stopped having my 2 shakes as ice cream as I didn't want to make it too like food. But now having the vanilla made into a thick shake with ice makes me gag every time. BLURGH!

Hey, del! Welcome aboard!

I been making my veg soups into veggie burgers today. They taste just like the real thing! So yummy.

Maybe our next pot target should be the weight of a medium sized horse; about 1000lb?!

Misswee,
I put it on the last page of the recipes, I think it may be a new invention of mine :) (but probably just a variation on existing ones)..

But I mixed it with a sweetener, tabasco and a bit of hot water til it was quite paste-y. (sweetener might sound odd but it makes it taste like it's got erm.. normal veggie burger f**ds in it).
Microwave for a couple of minutes, mixing every 30secsish, until it forms a fairly stiff, dough like ball.
Squish it into a burger shape. Place under grill. Brown both sides & voila, one veggie burger!

I think I might try making the chicken pack into chips next using similar method. Never know it might work!

Thanks so much! I guess I got bored of trawling through the thread before I reached the last page!

I don't have a microwave but may be able to get round it using a warm pan to make the dough.

The veg soup is my fav at the moment! It's poss the burgers would work with the mushroom too...?

My next plan is to try it with the tomato and see if it improves. No reason why it wouldn't work with any of the flavours! Just taste different. I'm sure you can use a pan no probs as well, it's really just evaporating the water off of it I think.

Also I'm thinking it's useful because it might mean that in emergencies I could take one of those with me wrapped in foil somewhere :D

Hi there
lost 3lbs this week so 1.1stone in 3 weeks.
TOTM so feel ok about 3, but would have liked 4!

Hey, come on you guys!!! 3 and 4 pounds are still great losses!!! Don't start on that spiral. :whoopass: You are exactly on target. A stone a month, quarter a week.

Just put yourself on another diet where that would be a months loss if you were lucky!!!! :whip:

Now, well done on losing!!! :talk017:

Put into perspective on Supersize v Superskinny last night the 'larger lady' lost 1 1/2 stone in 12 weeks and was delighted, that's an average of less than 2lb per week.

There's NO other diet where you'd be remotely disappointed with a 3lb loss. Celebrate the losses and congratulate yourself of making the positive changes happen.

Woke up this morning - and I can't see properly.

It's like I have tunnel vision, with the outside of the tunnel being highly pixelated. My eyes just feel "shadowy" and I have water marks too.... scary. Plus a headache to end all headaches.

Is it a migraine? Do you suffer from them usually? Migraines can cause vision problems in lots of people. My migraines just make me nauseous.

I usually have to lie in a darkened room and let it pass.

If you're worried though and not sure what it is/never happened before maybe you should make an appointment for the docs?
