In class this week our consultant asked us all to try a vegetable we had never tried before and I chose jerusalem artichokes and I have to say they are yum! I made a jerusalem artichoke soup for lunch and it was so lovely, creamy with a slight nutty taste. We should all try something we never have before, there are so many great discoveries out there!!!

A lady at my group bought a load in when they were featured in the mag a while back... I had them on a roast and they were absolutely delicious! x

In the spirit of trying something new, I have bought asian pears this week. I tried one earlier and didn't like it. It wasn't sweet like a normal pear (I expected the odd texture). Does anyone know if they sweeten up if they are left to ripen for longer? Sorry to add this question on OP!!
