I lost 3lbs this week. Initially I was quite disappointed, because I was sure that I would lose more, but I had a word with myself!
It is brilliant, I have lost 16lbs in 2 weeks, already I feel better and can walk further. In fact I am determined to build more walking in to my day:happy036:

I am struggling with the tendancy to want to reward success with food. I lapsed last night and had 2 cups of tea with milk. I know that in terms of calories that isn't horrific which was how I justified it to myself last night. However, it is the principle, abstinence is abstinence. I need to think about how else to reward myself.

well done on the weight loss so far, that is great!
I always used to reward myself with food, but have now found other things to reward myself with instead. Getting my hair done and my nails done left me feeling good about myself, much more than eating ever has done. I never used to take care of my appearance but i am now focusing on that for my rewards.

Amazing results. I too have always rewarded myself with food. I am only on day 5 but have just treated myself to some gorgeous bubble bath so that I cn relax at the end of a long day and take time to tell myself jut how well i am doing. You are doing fantastically well. Keep it up. x

Hey Janet, that is a brill loss so far!! Well done you!

As for rewards, I agree with the others, hair, makeup are great boosters, I also love Yankee candles and have a cupboard full of diferent ones to suit my mood! Lush bath bombs are a fave too, especially the butterball as it makes myskin feel so soft. I now have a selection of great body lotions for pampering and you wouldnt beleive the amount of new earrings that just happen to be in my jewellry box right now!!

Keep it up, and have a go at some non-food treats! You know you want to!!LOL!!

    Thanks everyone.

I will definitely start treating myself to non food rewards. In fact I feel a visit to the Lush shop in Chester coming on:party0049:
