Hello to anyone reading! I welcome all and would love comments and advice.
A little bit about me..
Well as the title suggests my name is Jo. I am 40 years young, married and have 2 kids aged 10 and 4 (girl and boy) a german shepherd puppy and 2 cats
Well this February I turned the big 40 and my life sort of took a downhill health wise from there
I am currently a ward clerk in a womens hospital which involves working nights, but I have been off sick since April
Was constantly tired went to docs and to cut a long story short I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Was a big kick in the butt for me and I was put on meds and diagnosed with hypertension too. After a mini stroke scare (it wasn't) I am on a few meds and making huge lifestyle changes.
Started healthy eating and with My Fitness App I have lost 2st 2 lbs so far, this is the most I have ever lost. Gone from a size 24 to 18-20
So what brings me here?? Well I currently weigh 16st 10lbs and for the last 3 weeks I have come to a stop. Mostly because I haven't been 100% if I'm honest!
Have done slimming world before so I know it works, but I got greedy with it! Doing 1200 cals a day has taught me portion control and I honestly cannot eat loads or I am ill.
I am doing it at home and my WI is weds mornings. I love SW as it's family friendly. I have been doing it for 6 days now and I think I'm ding ok, I have books from last time and I found this fab website when I googled slimming world. I have read some of the fantastic diaries and hope I do you all some justice!
So... If you are still with me after all of that well done!!! Lol
I am doing all of this from my iphone so I hope after typing it all that it works!!!
So just to give you all an idea here is my food diary for today

Breakfast
Chopped apple, nectarine, strawberries and banana topped with FF yogurt
Lunch
Ham & tomato on WM bread (HEb)
Mug shot
Chicken drumstick
Dinner
Pork chop
Pasta with home made tomato sauce (tinned toms, onion,garlic and herbs)
3 plums
Currently drinking green tea. Going to spend syns on walkers pops (5.5) and curly wurly (6)
