Journey to a new me...

Hey guys I'm back! Came home this morning at 3 am and I was up at 7:30 thanks to my overly excited cat she must have missed me a lot as she wanted to sit on my face lol. Aaand the big news is, I saw 13:9 on the scales this morning so I lost 4 lbs in Turkey woot! I had some yummy vegan Turkish food, stayed away from bad carbs as much as I could, and ofc - lots of walking/cycling/swimming and the weight easily came off. I'm well chuffed. I bet my CWP consultant will be shocked now lol :)

Dear diary, I was feeling a bit poorly since coming back to the UK but I feel much better today. Went ahead and got myself a gym membership from David Lloyd, starting Saturday though as having a really hectic week (lots of overtime at work etc).
The scales showed 13:8 this morning so it's going great :) I'll be in the 12s soon, really exciting!

13:7 today, going in the right direction - slow but steady. Only thing is, I started to have a bit of a gallbladder pain again. Nothing like how it was last year but still scared the hell out of me at the weekend. Tried to book an appt with GP today but I was a bit too late, will try again tomorrow morning.

Hello Faye. Just wanted to say how well you are doing. Losing 4lbs on holiday is a tremendous result. You must feel great! :)

Dear diary, I had a gallbladder attack almost everyday last weekend and on Monday I started to have stomach pains too, which then turned into a all over tummy pain (stomach, gallbladder, kidneys, diaphragm, going up to shoulder blades) on Tuesday and I was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday eve from work. Apparently they need to take my gallbladder out as it's causing inflammation all around. I was in agony, I thought I was going to die and I'm not exaggerating :( Now I'm afraid of eating. Literally. And whatever I eat makes me feel a bit sick but that could be psychological.
So we stopped trying to get pregnant for now. I'm on pantoprazole 40mg for my stomach, and have lots of painkillers ready in case it starts again. I'm eating an almost no fat diet atm so no more meal replacement sachets for me. I'm eating full vegan and very, very low fat. Fruit and veg, and some brown bread. I lost too much weight in the last 3-4 days so I really need to start eating a bit more often because losing weight fast is actually aggravating my gallbladder. I really don't want to have that kind of pain ever again.
So I'm now referred to the specialist to have the op sometime soon. Scary, but nothing can't be worse than what I experienced on Tuesday night.

oh God that's so awful. you poor thing to be in so much pain. I presume the medics have told you to eat low fat? will that stop another attack?

Yes, apparently it helps but doesn't guarantee anything of course. When we eat fat our gallbladder starts pumping bile to break down fat, and when mine starts pumping the stones (I have a lot of those!) sometimes block the bile duct and cause massive pain so the idea is to avoid it totally at this point. I eat max 1-2 gr of fat per meal at the moment and doing ok for now.

Dear diary, I don't know if I should keep you as I'm currently only calorie counting, but I don't want to abandon you either. Might as well carry you to the right section sometime when I can be bothered.
I'm 13:0 today! Hopefully in a few days I'll finally be in the 12s. I was in the 19s last year when I first started my journey in September so I've lost just over 6 stone in 11 months. So proud of myself :)

I'm still 13:0, well I wasn't expecting to lose a pound a day (obviously) but would be nice if it stalled at 12:13 instead lol! Looking forward to being in the 12 stone bracket after a really long time! :D

Oh and also, I'm really enjoying cooking healthy food from scratch lately. Never knew this could one day happen to me lol. Made a low fat (almost fat free) vegan lentil stew yesterday and it's yum! I don't feel sick anymore and can eat much more than I did last week but still watching all my calories and macro-nutrients on MFP as I log everything on my diary religiously :flirt2: This morning though I had a few green tomatoes and I felt a tiny bit of an ache around gallbladder area, nothing happened though thank God.
