I may well be joining you in a few weeks Katy, got 2 weeks of CD, will do 810 this week and am deciding whether to do 1000 the week after, then move over to SW...... Today at the hairdressers I had a coffee with milk (I only drink black coffee at home) and they brought 2 biscuits (ginger ones) to go with it, they are all sealed in seperate bags and really yummy, and I ate one of them, definately thought about and happy with my decision and you know what, 1 felt enough, so was really really pleased about that.... good luck with your plan Katy xx

Ha ha, Jess I beat you to it!!!!

How strange on my computer I am 1000th and you were 1001.......

I declare it a draw... big hugs, both!

xxx

Awwwww tell us who was who on your computer Katy.......

Katy, glad you're feeling positive, good food choices, yummy too. You can always stay away from the scales for a few days until any short-term carb gain goes.
Enjoy every bit of what you're having, you deserve to - with BMI of 25 you're an inspiration.

In a few weeks l'm hoping to gradually get myself off CD, think a structured plan like SW, WW or RC will be what l'll need, l know l can't be left entirely to my own devices!

As Jess says thankyou. I really appreciate your kindness and continued support. Party on. :party0016:

Great Things, it does make things harder sometimes. For me it's been a terrifying 34 years... and now I will retreat because I suddenly feel scarily ancient!

xxx

you are not ancient. i'm 37 years old in total. when i went 30 i cried. when i went 37 i felt very relaxed about it and the thought of 40 is not stressing me out as i know i'm healthier and fitter than i was at 30. i have more confidence and love myself a little more. plus.... the most important.... i don't really give a rats about what others think of me anymore - my self consciousness has left me. people take me for me i don't try to please them to get their attention. age is a good thing.

I think I will call it changing track, or travelling on a different wagon rather than falling off the CD one. I will run my wagon so close alongside yours that we can all chat, and hold hands when we need to, and if it ever comes to it I can always jump back over! ...

... but I DO want to keep my diary here because I need you guys, & this journey would be very lonely without the wagon train!

... I... will choose SB for my Beck back-up diet, you make it sound very do-able.

Hi Katycakes,

Maybe we should ask for a new forum, and all move our diaries to that one (plus, the Beck thread Shanny started).

We can call it The Wagon Train Forum.

This forum is for individuals whom, despite rethinking, adapting or changing the route they are taking to lose weight, are still heading in the same direction and intend to get there however they can, but in there own time!

From the Wikipedia Definition:

A wagon train is a group of wagons traveling together. In the American West, individuals traveling across the plains in covered wagons banded together for mutual assistance, as is reflected in numerous films and television programs about the region...

Membership in wagon trains was generally fluid and wagons frequently joined or left trains depending on the needs and wishes of their owners. An accident or illness, for instance, might force someone to fall behind and wait for the next train, or an emigrant might "whip up" to overtake a forward train.

@ Great Things, lol. I am definitely more ancient than you, but you are way ahead of me on confidence! You are dead right, things do get easier in some ways... but I am still a bit of a people-pleaser alas. Still working on that!

@ Mel, LOVE the wagon train. Yessss.

I love the Wagon Train idea too MM, just hope those nasty injuns stay away. Don't fancy getting scalped after my hair cost me £90 a couple of weeks ago :eek:xx

Ha ha, me neither Chels, mine cost me an arm and a leg today too......

So glad Katy, to see you have a plan. SW is very doable I find (especially if you don't follow the Bess's special elastic version!)

I saw friends for lunch today, one had made leek and potato soup and her own bread and was keen that I try it. She's a dear friend and so I did, delicious and I guessed at the syns later. The thing is with SW, it does fit in with eating with people and for me if pushed, I don't feel the need to hide it. Everyone has an opinion on a VLCD and isn't afraid to express it, as we have all found out.
Tonight's supper was jacket potaotes and a yummy quorn stir fry with loads of veggies and a little soy sauce. All super free or free food.

You'll be just fine, we all will. :) xxx

Hi KC,

Let's giddy up and moooove alooong... we have to get through the Sierra Nevada before we get caught in the snow. We don't want to end up like the Donner Party, do we? (wikipedia it, if you do not know the story.)

@Chels,
But what if the "indiginous people" looked like this... maybe we would want them to capture us? ;)

@Beth -- I changed my avatar again, just for you. It is DD's latest endevour: I call it "Project Dog Run Away!" lol
