Katycakes Won't Give Up...

Cooooooo eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! I could see that you were 'viewing' What are we like at this time of the morning? hahaha

Hope you are ok this morning KC xxx

Morning Hun, Have a good trip and great weekend 'see you' Monday xx

Happy St. Patrick's Day, KatyCakes!

So, do you have green Haggis for St. Pats? (and would it be green because it was veggie or green because it was "off"?). ;)

I hope you have a wonderful day and the sun is shining up north (it isn't here :sigh:). But, I have my light box -- so, I'll manage.

DAY 1 SW

Scales 12st 3.

Thanks all for looking in on me... hasn't been a good week, so tired and breathing all wrong, know I am not well yet but do feel brighter today and sun is shining. Yesterday I had a 3.30 start and was away all day, several skinny lattes and two skinny muffins were consumed along the way, but don't feel that guilty as I was running on empty & passing through endless railway stations, & only ate the muffin tops... an end to it now, though. I have messed around since Monday and the scales show it, but today I am starting properly on SW and hope for better things!

I have adjusted my ticker to show the gain, only 1lb up since I last adjusted before my flu so it could be worse. Have also adjusted goal weight up to 11st, which still seems impossibly distant but which would be less pie-in-the-sky than 10st something.

As I said, baby steps... have had my breakfast (porridge, those CD habits die hard, but it was real porridge this time!). Plan is to work and to get outside for a while, either gardening or a walk. Wishing you sunshine and determination, wherever you are.

Morning KatyCakes --

Your plan sounds very sound. You are 5'8" in the tens sounds awfully light to me. I am only 5'4" and I am hoping to get to 9.5 stone and maintain between that and 9 stone 10.

Also, remember what Nerys and India wrote in the their diet book -- "Sometime after 40 a woman has to chose between her arse and her face." Being thin might not be pretty. I am aiming for fit and healthy (and looking into botox). lol ;)

I cannot believe how cold it is here today -- two days until Spring and I am thinking of digging out my ski underwear. UGH!

I hope the sun is shining on you -- it isn't here. I am off for my "planned exercise" soon. It is a Fitness Pilates I've not tried before -- I am looking forward to it.

Katy, sorry you're not all better. Hope you can have a relaxing weekend and be back at full strength soon. Yay for 1st day of SW.

Thank goodness I read this, I was just signing in and thinking I am such a fraud and I shouldn't be here any more. I start day start keen, follow SW easily to the evening and then, the old old story...
I've been so busy this week it's been difficult to keep my eye on the ball and so easy just to grab a sandwich when I stopped for petrol, rather than find a supermarket with all that parking stuff/tickets/whatever and get something suitable.
You've hauled me back onto the wagon Katy, just when I was going to run off and hide. Thankyou. xx

Hug for Bess. You've hauled me back aboard enough times yourself, y'know!

Hiya,

Have PM'd you but couldn't ignore your post. I am so pleased that you have adjusted your goal weight KC, your BMI is already at a healthy level and you may have been too blinking skinny at your previous goal weight. Credit to you for that. You can always reassess once you've reached 154lbs.

Good luck to you for your first SW day today. I am sure you will find it a lot easier and I am going to be joining you. I have found all my books from last year, when I joined and will have a go at EE. There is a class near me on a Thursday evening, so will check that out next week, after I have spoken to my CDC.

Hope yesterday went well for you and you managed to get some rest and recuperation last night. xxxx

Nah, BMI up to 26 again when I adjusted ticker, sigh. I think 11st will be a more realistic goal, but it still seems such a long way away. I have to give SW a fair chance and hope it takes me closer.

Well done Chels on making a decision too, and glad it's SW as you, me & Bess can all egg each other on... sometimes there just comes a point when you know you have got to the end of the road with CD. For me, I kept on trying to move forward and got nowhere, wish I had switched over to SW earlier, but I always was a slow learner I guess.

Hi KC and CL --

I think it is good that you are making the choice to move now -- when there are at least 3 of you are doing the SW thing. You can compare notes, start a new thread "Slimming World after CD" -- and share recipes, etc.

Now, you need to choose a new back up diet. So I hear South Beach? (DH is doing so well... 30 pounds off since January 2nd and going strong.)

Glad you posted CL -- I was thinking I was going to have fill up my car's tank and drive to Sandhurst tonight! And, let's face it... after 40 driving at night can be a bit of a challenge.

I hope you both have a fab weekends!

I will definitely have to google south beach and get some info, just in case lol.

Driving at night is a nightmare....for me anyway.....my night vision is terrible and I do try to avoid it whenever I can. Roll on the summer evenings, I can stay out until at least 8pm then :D

Hope you are well Mel - thanks for caring xxxx

@Chels... I'm fine thanks. Frezzin' like you, though. You know it's cold when you go to let the dog out and she feels the burst of cold air and turns around as if to say, "No thanks, I can hold it!" lol

Reporting in to say I went for a walk in the sunshine, between 4-5 miles on rough tracks to a remote loch, with friend and assorted dogs. The sun was lovely but there was snow on the hills right beside us, and some of the tracks were all iced up. Still, feel much better for it. I didn't race along, still feeling tired and short of breath, but my legs got a decent workout and the fresh air was great. It's the first exercise in about 2 weeks and I am so glad I made the effort.

Aw, that sounds great Katy and hopefully the walk has blown away a few cobwebs for you. I am sure the assorted mutts would have appreciated it also :D

Did she look like this trying to 'hold it in' hahahaha

A man took his Dobermann to the vet and said, "My dog's cross-eyed. Is there anything you can do?"

"Well," said the vet, "let's have a look at him." So he picked up the dog by the ears and had a good look at its eyes.

"Well," said the vet, "I'm going to have to put him down."

"What? Just because he's cross-eyed?!" exclaimed the man.

"No, because he's heavy."

Amazing the things you find when you google "cross eyed dogs":D

Sounds blissful to me. x

Hi Katy, busy weekend too? There's an interesting thing on the 'News please read' section of mini's, about a height/weight chart. Worth a browse I think. Plod on Sweetie. xx
