Katycakes Won't Give Up...

@Chels -- Think of the muscles we'd build in our arms trying to swim in something like this!

@Bess --

I figure as Chels is always whinging about our advanced years, I'd look for a photo of "somewhat senior" ladies in modest swimwear. In all honesty my age bothers me not at all... it is just a number. I am (thankfully) a lot more physically fit and healthy than some women decades younger than myself. And, aging certainly beats the alternative. Plus, aging might be madatory, but maturing is optional! ;)

Do I do that? I often mention that I am getting on a bit, but not sure that amounts to whingeing...... the only thing I whinge about is being on my own when I would really like to have someone to love. Age is relative I think, depending on your circumstances. When you are happily settled with husband/partner then age isnt so much of an issue. Whereas being single, and my only means of support, then age is a huge deal. Employment. If I got made redundant now, who would want to emply a 56 year old? And men, why have a 56 year old when they can take their pick of much younger females? I read a lonely hearts column last night and the majority of the men were asking for young, slim females for "discreet fun" and the women were asking to meet older men for "adult fun", so there you have it, be no older than 45 if you are a single woman, or as one gent requested, be of ample proportions hahaha and be as old as you like if you are a single man.
Whinge over :D

DAY ONE

Mel, my cozzie is black & cream polka dot with halter top, from Toast 3 years ago, and I love it... it was after I lost the weight with CD and was the first time in my life I remember being confident in a swimmy, even though I'd been slimmer in the past I had never felt comfortable with myself until then. I could cry at letting that get away from me. The cozzie fit last summer too, in Egypt, but it wouldn't now. Sigh. It WILL by holiday time though. And as OH booked a holiday for June that means I have to stop this messing about and get on with it. A stone in two months should be do-able, if I really, really try?
Katy, that is very do-able indeed. Cozzie sounds lovely and you will look amazing in it AGAIN. Come on girlie, have it out somewhere you can see it and remind yourself of that feeling you had about looking good in it. Full of confidence. :D
Ah who knows, but I WILL do my best.

Update, too mortified to post this morning, but my first-thing WI gave a weight of 12st 10 today. So 3lbs overnight, or water weight, or delayed gain from weekend, or PMT... or it may have been the large amounts of chocolate I ate yesterday. I might as well admit it, with much shame, because I do not lie to my minis pals and I'm not about to start now.

So... day one for me. So far so good. But I can't kid myself it will be easy because I have been off the rails big style recently and pulling back from that will not be easy. I plan to take it one day at a time, but I cannot go on this way... something has to change, and I think it's got to be me.

Have done assorted errands and shopped for SW friendly food, so that helps. So far have stuck to plan, and will check in later to let you know how I am doing. I don't deserve your support or faith, but I promise I WILL do all I can now not to let you down. Or myself.
You aren't letting any of us down.......silly. We all have our moments and no-one stands in judgement. Everyone understands fully the place where you've been for a few weeks as we've all visited it at some point
And thanks Mel for the pic of the polka dot swimmy, has been in my mind all day and quietly motivating.

Likewise the burkha pic, if I don't get a wriggle on with this diet, then that is what I will have to wear for the wedding cruise, to cover up the ugly mug and body :D

@Chels --

LOL, I knew I'd get your goat by accusing of being whingey (am I spelling this correctly). We say, "whining" -- which gives on the opportunity to say, "Would like some cheese with the whine?"

Anyway, you are not a big whining baby -- as would say -- I am just
messin' wid youse!

Darling you don't whinge at all. And if you were made redundant you can come and work where I do, as soon as they start recruiting again - where I am just about the youngest! And come to think of it one of only 2 women in a team of 12. (NO! To what you might be thinking! Not a single one of them!)
I think you are reading the wrong columns, those people seem a bit grubby to me and to just want a bit of slap and tickle.

Likewise the burkha pic, if I don't get a wriggle on with this diet, then that is what I will have to wear for the wedding cruise, to cover up the ugly mug and body :D

Now look you. I'm warning you both, you and Katy, - any more of this and you are going to have to sit on the naughty step!
Unless you've completely Photo Shopped every picture I've seen of you, you are imagining things, or have a dreadful mirror. So stop it. :nono: x

Ah you do make me feel better, you lot. And agree, Chels, no burkhas required!

lol if I can put a smile on just one person's face then I feel that I have really achieved something.

@ Bess.........not even if you had to????????;):D:D

Nope! Not even then! :D

OK, checking in to say I've been 100% so far. Don't feel deprived at all, either, and had a fruit & 0% yog pud without it sending me running for the sugar. So far so good...

We have friends coming to stay over tomorrow afternoon, but intend to plan it so I can eat lots of free food... planning is all, I suspect.

Hi Katy really pleased you are doing well and staying 100% well done.

I've just completed 7 days cd ss 100% and lost 7lbs :)

Wow Trisha, well done... awesome. You've been so patient and determined, so glad you are getting the results you deserve now!

Well done! You are right - planning is key with SW. If you plan it's really easy and yummy - hopefully all the preparing and planning will become second nature at some point! :)

Morning Katycakes,

I hope you have a lovely day, and some of this sunshine finally comes your way!

MM

In a massive hurry but so far so good, have done a quick sprint into town and bought mint and pineapples for a 'free' pud to counter the apple crumble, and lots of salad leaves & tomatoes. Plan one tablespoon of homemade macaroni cheese, no idea how many syns that'll be but will look later. Getting lots of exercise changing beds, mopping floors & cleaning! Hope everyone is well.

Whew, KC --

I'm tired just from reading your post!

Ah, mac and cheese my kids love it!

DAY 2

Not going to start my diary over on SW until the weekend, as tonight we have friends staying and tomorrow I am off to Glasgow all day, so won't have time. Plan to be 100% though. Today is going fine so far, and have made lots of plans to help me stay on track later.

Sun shining here, off to peg another load of washing on the line while I can!
