I don't know to be honest - I've never heard about Ketosis until this site. As we eat a meal in the evening on slimfast I doubt it.

Good luck

Hi hun,

I am surprised none of the VLCDers have picked up on this yet, but I feel I need to tell you this as SSing on Slimfast can make you very ill...

Slimfast is not a VLCD and SHOULD UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be used as the sole source of nutrition (as CD, LL etc are). This is because it does not contain all the nutritional ingredients you need to be healthy. Slimfast should only be used in accordance with the instructions they give on all products and their website which is:

2 shakes per day, combined with a healthy 600 calorie meal and low calorie/low fat snacks such as fruit.

You should not be using Slimfast as SS, also due to the fact that it contains too many calories and too much sugar/carbs for you to enter ketosis, so you would feel very hungry.

I would recommend following the instructions from the company, or if you want to SS I would stick with what you're doing at the moment.

Hope this is useful and answers your question hun, good luck with whatever you decide to do xxx

I agree with everything Wannabslim has said.

There is no sole source plan for slimfast as it is not nutritionally complete.

Have you been on LL for very long? Lots of peoples tastes change in a very short period of time and some of the flavours you don't like one day will taste completely different the next time you try them. If you want to SS I'd stick with the LL a little longer and see if they become more palatable.

If not you could try Cambridge diet, there is a sole source plan that is nutritionally complete and a wide variety of flavours.

I hope you find something that suits you.
