Lactose intolerance

is anyone using a milk based VLCD while knowing they are moderately lactose intolerant. I know do a version which of a VLCD based on soya'milk' but to be frank the less soya in my body the better.
I do like slimfast shakes when I have taken them, but after about 4 weeks the buildup of milk in my system gets to be unbearable, bloating, feeling whozzy, feeling pregnant.

I stop the milk for a week and hey presto, I feel much better.

Its just that I really like the convience of meal replacements .

So if you are lactose intolerant and taking slimfast do you take a suppliment to help your body digest the milk or do you simply grin and put up with the symptons of the lactose intolerance.

Many thanks .

you can have soy milk with slim fast...
or maybe contact slim fast about rice milk.. and see what they say about that.

I'm slighty lactose intolerant. I can use cows in tea, coffee, cereal ect but can't use it for slim fast. It makes me feel really ill. I use soya milk and its a lot better as it doesn't make me feel "clogged up".
Good luck with finding something that works.

I am mildly lactose intolerant and I am on slim fast but rather than 2 shakes I only have one for lunch and have a low cal breakfast. If I feel bloted I use lacto free milk ans I have the taste of soy milk.
