Just wondered if anyone had a syn free/low syn recipe for a lasagne... as friend just started talking about one... and really made me fancy it, plus one of hubbies fav dishes!! Thanks in advance xxx
Hey thanks for that... i was hoping for a white sauce i could use without a packet only down to the fact i'm posted out in Germany with hubby; so have limited choices!! xx
If you don't mind it not being entirely syn free, you could do this one. It's 1 Syn & 1 HXA per person.
On a lasagne for 4:
375ml semi-skimmed milk (1.5 HXA)
4tsp cornflour (4 Syns)
1tsp Mustard powder
seasoning
105g low fat cheddar or 70g full fat (2.5 HXA)
warm the milk
add the conflour (mixed with a tiny bit of the milk) and stir until thickened
if it's not thick enough, you could beat in an egg, which will thicken it more as it cooks.
add mustard and seasoning
either add the cheese, or add some of the cheese, leaving some to pile on top of the lasagne, or leave it all out of the sauce and pile it all on top. It depends how you like it!
