::Laura on a Mission::

Hi everyone!
I'm Laura, I'm 32, live in Aberdeen and yesterday I started Xenical :D

About 1 year ago, I was doing Slimming World [Green]. It was ok, I lost 35 lbs and then it all went pear shaped.
Weddings, nights out, BBQ's, and I gave up. After a pretty grim 6 months, I am back and ready to go!

I was actually at the doctor for my check up for the pill and out of the blue I asked about Xenical, she said no reason why I can't get it, so we had a chat about things and here I am.

I will be going to back to her in 4 weeks time to get weighed and what not, which is a good thing, as I won't be stepping on the scales every day like I did before and got stressed about it!

SO my first day on the little blue pill went super...
I work in an office Monday - Friday so I have breakfast & lunch there.
I thought breakfast might be a problem, I am used to having toast thick with butter, or a pancake or bacon roll [tut tut].
But I have now turned to a bowl of cereal and actually enjoyed it. I have a water cooler in my office too, so constantly filling up my glass. Must of had about 10 yesterday and was up all night peeing :/

My biggest challenge tho is that we are always having meetings with clients and get buffet lunches in [like today], and i am forever picking on the Duck Spring Rolls and chicken skewers, but today i will resist.
I have my lovely Mugshot and watermelon to look forward to : )

Right, enough talking and on with my food from yesterday!

Breakfast::
Bowl of ASDA vitality cereal
Chopped strawberries

Lunch::
Mughsot
Weight Watchers lemon & lime yogurt
Apple

Dinner::
Huge Salad consisting of::
2 Chopped peppers, 1 red onion, whole cucumber, 4 celery sticks, gem lettuce and chopped up seafood sticks.
Apple

And of course, loads of water.
I don't drink tea or coffee, yuck :D

Had a great sleep, woke up feeling totally refreshed and motivated, so bring on Day 2 =]

Day 2

Lunch::
Thai Mugshot
3 x Ryvitas with extra light philadelphia spread
Weight Watchers Lemon & Lime yogurt
Apple

Dinner::
Vegetable risotto consisting of:
Dry fried chopped onion, garlic, baby corn, spring onions and bag of mange tout!

And of course I drank nothing but water.
All in all another great day.

Weird thing is, I don't feel the need to snack at all at work. Before I would have crisps, crackers with cheese spread AFTER lunch. AND I managed to resist the buffet lunch for the Norwegians. There was so much junk left over, it all looked and smelled so delicious, Filo King Prawns, Curry sausage rolls, but I wasn't even tempted!

AND I'm so impressed at my risotto that I made. Normally I would cook the whole pack or rice for me & P [the b'f] and we would scoff the lot between us - 2 bowls, but i only made 1/2 the pack and couldnt even finish my one bowl. :D
 
Day 3

Remains of last nights vegetable risotto

I am amazed I don't feel the need to snack at all during the day, it's ace! And so far 100%, not even craving alcohol or crisps yet.
But all prepared for when i do :D

with added sugar snap peas and baby corn

Oh, and a can of diet coke at night!

Another 100% day and feeling great.

Well I survived the weekend.
And not a craving for a beer or a glass of wine too.
I am super pleased with myself!

Saturday day time I was at a course for my youth work, and instead of going out for lunch, they got food in for us to make. Loaves of bread for sandwiches with cheese, ham, coleslaw, crisps, etc, so I could help myself.
Ended up with a handful of cherry tomatoes and 2 slices of cold ham.
It actually filled me up, and I'm impressed I didnt make a sandwich... the bread actually looked delicious.

Yesterday I decided to make my own sushi, just using sushi rice, chopped spring onion and chopped cucumber. It tasted SO good, just like the real thing!
I did some photos, will get them up later :D

Day 5

Snack::
Watermelon

Lunch / Dinner [3pm ish]
10 Home made Sushi rolls - sushi rice, spring onion & cucmber

And copious amounts of water as always :D

Tomorrow I will have completed week 1! Woooop ^_^

Sadly I wont know until I get weight at the doctors in 3 weeks time.
Decided to get weighed monthly this time.
When I was on Slimming world, it was weekly and i got into habbit of weighing myself every morning and it drove me crazy! Now my scales are broken so once monthly at the docs it is!
 
that might be better - you'll be able to tell by your clothes anyway.;)

i do far too much of the on and off the scales and it does get you agitated. x

Well week 1 complete! YAY
I feel so great, in such a happy mood.
I can't believe I have also gone 1 week without ALCOHOL and crisps!
Those were my let-downs. I would come in from work, grab a beer out the fridge, or a glass of wine, and that would lead to 2...
And at work, i would normally have maybe 2 bags of crisps a day.
Not forgetting going to the van before hand for bacon roll or a pancake.
I'm saving so much money hehee, the boyfriend is loving it!

Day 8

Heinz tomato soup
3 x crispbread with extra light philadelphia 35g tub and chopped spring onions
and a few slices of TESCO honey roast ham

Dinner::
Made some spicy rice consisting of::
King prawns, baby corn, mange tout, onions, garlic and peppers
and lots of spices, chilli flakes, ginger, etc

Snacks::
Box of cherry tomatoes

Another 100% day.
Check me, I'm getting good at this!

Bleh, the girls at my work are going out tomorrow night. There is only 4 of us, but Revolution in town [where we had our christmas night out] is offering us to come and sample their new food menu. They emailed me whats on offer and it's totally bad. Mini burgers, duck rolls, sweet chilli chicken pizza, etc.

So I said to the other girls i'm not coming along, and they are all like 'oh come on, it's just one night of being bad'. Everything is free, we can eat as much as we want!
That's not the point, i've been 100% for 8 days now and I'm not letting one night of eating **** spoil my routine. I am so serious about losing this weight and they seem to think it's a joke! I got quite annoyed at them. They said they will support me, and that's not supporting me :p

Anyway, I might nip along after and have a spirit and diet coke. But no food. I will happily have my healthy dinner at home!

God nos how much water I drank, but I was peeing constantly at work lol *too much info* :D

YO! Sushi ... consisting of 5 plates of cucumber maki rolls
[93 calories per plate! not too bad eh!]

King prawns
Box of cherry tomatoes

Day 12

Breakfast::
Special K cereal oats and honey with milk

Lunch::
Weight watchers frozen chicken curry

Dinner::
Sushi remains

Snacks::
Chopped Galia and water melon

Not had much food today, been super busy being all over the place!

It's the weekend and still not a sight of alcohol.
That's almost 2 weeks now without a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.
See... i CAN do this!
