Le Sigh

Oh absolutely! I prefer the lack of choice on SW re 'naughty' foods personally!
Me too - although can't wait for a day when it's just food and I make sensible decisions based on my hunger not my emotions - getting better all the time. One Mars Bar does not a failure make, it's the thought process as to whether I've eaten it out of boredom, stress etc or chosen to have it.
But the SW philosophy helps me far more than when I went to WW (consultant admitted to surviving on coffee and fags so could save points for the weekend - like wtf? )

Just general naughty stuff that's way over my 10 syn a day allowance.. Chocolate other than a Curly Wurly, cheesecake etc. I thought the freedom of points would make it easier but I just used them on rubbish and then craved more rubbish.
As fate would have it, I now can't make tomorrow's SW, but i am more than ready to get back on the wagon so hopefully I can get a loss next week.
I've learned my lesson. I cannot be trusted with WW! Thanks everyone xx

Remember you get upto 15 syns a day tho-and flexible syns are there to be used if you do want the occasional treat :) x

Weight watchers is the devil!! it doesnt promote healthy eating either!! Also once you have the bread and the sugar you start craving it! Go to weight in and you might be surprised that it isnt so bad? If you dont go to weigh in you might carry on being naughty?? xx

That's actually totally inaccurate. WW DOES promote healthy eating and cooking from scratch same as SW. If people choose to use their points on junk food and take away then that's their choice but its not following WW properly. It's like someone on SW eating only supernoodles pasta n sauce and mug shots. Yes it's allowed but it sure as hell isn't what SW recommend

WW is a brilliant diet if its done properly like any other diet

Ive done both plans and lost on both - I lost 2 1/2 stones with WW the first time. I fell off the wagon when my mam was ill and I spent the time nursing her, I piled all the weight back on as I was eating as and when I could so it was pasties, pies, crisps, kebabs. I joined and re joined but couldnt get my head back into it when they changed to Pro Points. So I joined SW and I love it. Any plan works you just have to follow it, and yes you can still have your treats. You just have to ask yourself what do you want more - the chocolate or the weight loss.

I always ate rubbish on WW too lol. It's just soooooo easy when they wave branded convenience food at you EVERYWHERE you look!!! I swear I ate more cake on WW than I do when I'm not dieting. I know people who really get on well with it though.

If SW is starting to feel restrictive then I think maybe try having the odd flexi synned treat. I used to think flexi was a waste of time but recently I'm really seeing the value in it. This is a way of eating for LIFE. I won't be able to stick to 10 syns a day for life. Flexi is a way to have that naughty treat but then know when to stop. The key to flexi is that you just go back to normal after your flexi meal is done. You don't try to claw back the syns. You accept that week will probably not be a huge loss and carry on as normal. But you STOP when what you have decided to eat is gone. You stay in control. You don't carry the "treat" on for the rest of the day...... Or week.... Or month!!!

When I joined in April, my consultant said nobody in her class had more than 10 syns as nobody was overweight enough. I was 22+ stone.. It's been a real bugbear ever since but she insists on 10 a day for all.

Mine too

I left SW and had an affair with WW. Lol! I was doing well and having fruit smoothies and bagels. However I tended to be more hungry on WW and that was because I was much more aware of my portion sizes.

When I returned to my ole faithful SW I have applied what I have learnt whilst having my affair....just cos ifs free doesn't mean I need to climb a plate of chilli/spag Bol/pasta bake. So i try to have just enough now even though it's free!

Ww is a great diet plan but I prefer SW.

Agreed!!!!

The syns thing has been pitched at"around10" since the start of EE. The magazine normally says 10 too. My consultant recommends 10.

I know hun. Conflicting info all over the place!!

I wish I could have 15 a day! There are so many inconsistencies between groups.
In other news, I'm still struggling to get back on the wagon :(
