Do you make your own falafel? I need to find a low syn version that is made from scratch as I live in Canada and I can't get all the different choices available over in the UK here.

Yes i do.. This was from a post like week.

Recipe I Made -
I made some more falafel type balls again but slightly different and they come out SO good, I will stick to this one now.
2 cans of chickpeas, big handful of spinach, handful of parsley, half an onion, half a red chilli - Speed and Protein.
Cumin, Salt Pepper, Coriander, Garlic, Paprika.
Half a table spoon of peanut butter - 3 syns. (Optional)
Blend it all together till smoothish, then i just roll it in to small balls, place on a baking sheet and fry with fry light and bake till crispy turning half way through, if you have an air fryer they come out 10 x better in that.

This all made 16 balls, so for 8 balls it will be 1.5 syns etc. I have been making them free without the peanut butter, but i thought it might give a nice peanutty kick and some how it did make them even better and well worth every syn, the closest to the deep fried shop ones I have got so far.

Banana - Free.

Lunch -
Spicy Arrabbiata Pasta n Sauce - Everywhere says free, but I think the syns increased on these so worried i don't have the up to date one, so will class as 1 syn.
Spinach - Speed.


Dinner -
2 X Fry's Traditional Vegan Burgers 1 syn. ( Half a syn each and really nice )
Baby new potatoes in the Acti fry - Free.
Salad - Lettuce, Spinach and Cucumber - Speed.
Dressing - 1 syn.

1 Apple - Speed.
Choc Shot - 1 Syn.

3 Falafel Balls - 0.5 syns.

Popcorn - 3 Syns.

9 Syns.

Salad mix, spinach, cucumber, red onion - Speed.

Chilli Sauce - 1.5 Syns.
Ketchup - 1 Syn.



Popcorn - 3 Syns.


= 9 Syns for the day :)


Started my first day for the rest of the next week well! Feeling really positive, I just hope this motivation carries on for months to come.

Slice up New Potatoes done in the acti fry - Free.

Red Onion, Mushrooms, Green Pepper, Spinach and Chopped Tomatoes - Speed.
Curry powder garlic and other spices - Free.

Alpro Go Yoghurt mixed with some sweetner and vanilla - 0.5 syns.

Choc Shot - 0.5 syns.
Low Fat Squirty Cream - 1 syn.

I mixed the oats with the milk in the morning and left it in the fridge till night time so they were like over night oats. I got a glass and just layered up, choc oats, yogurt, fruit, oats, yogurt, fruit then did a small pump of squirty cream and a drizzle of choc shot on top - Really nice!!! :)



=8 Syns for the dayyyy :)

Also a circle cut out of a large tortilla wrap - Ill say 2 syns.

Was so busy at work today I could not even move, so that was the best i could do.

Dinner - Not a great one, was so fed up I just wanted something quick.
SW Chips - Free
Beans - Free.
2 Frys Burgers - 1 syn.
Ketchup - 1 syn.

Supper -
Salad, Spinach, Cucumber, Pepper - Speed.
5 Falafel Balls - 0.5 syns.
Dressing - 1 syn.

Popcorn - 3 Syns.



= 12.5 syns.


A higher syn day than i would like and not great meals but work was just horrible so i did the best i could.

You did your best, and we're within syns and didn't think "screw it!" And get a takeaway. Give yourself some credit! It's hard to stay on plan sometimes, especially if life is crazy.
 
Day 44..

Didn't get up getting breakfast till 2pm as work was so busy.

Day 45...

Breakfast - Didn't happen :(


Lunch - Had this at 1:50pm.
2 Quorn Veggie Chicken Burgers - 5 Syns.
Big Salad - Mixed Leaves, Cucumber, Red Pepper, Chives - Speed.
Dried Noodles - Free.
Light Sweet Chilli Sauce - 2 Syns.

This was so nice! Was like a crispy chicken noodle salad you would get from somewhere. 7 Syns isn't ideal for 1 meal I know, but the shopping came this morning and i fancied a nice " treat ". This is definately something i would now turn too if i felt like having a naughty meal but within my syns and full of speed, was really good.


Dinner - Kebab and Garlic Mushroom Salad.
Sliced up new potatoes cooked in the Acti Fry - Free.
Oumph! Kebab style chicken - Free.
Salad Leaves, Spinach, Cucumber, Pepper - Speed.
Garlic Mushrooms - Speed.

I made up a big salad with all my speed, cooked off some mushrooms with garlic and salt and pepper and added those in, then added my Kebab style chicken and sliced potatoes, really nice tea.

Pudding -
Over Night Oats Parfait again.
Oats - B Choice.
Choc Soy Milk - A Choice + 1.5 syns.
Alpro Go Yoghurt mixed with some sweetner and vanilla - 0.5 syns.

Also had two spoon fulls of my hubby's cheesy mash when making it - I couldn't help it!!! Its my fave thing and i hateeeeeee i made it for him when i couldn't have it lol. I will count my 5 remaining syns to that just to be safe.



I did cut the front and back gardens grass today, did a full tip trip, walked the dog and went to B & Q - Im taking that as body magic haha.

Breakfast - Which took place at 2:10pm.

Dinner -
I made these - https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/glamorgan-sausages.aspx
But i added some different spices and chives, and i blended them up more and made them in to balls and baked them, and had them as a meatless meatball - Speed and Free.
Tomato Sauce - Chopped Tomatoes, Red Onion, Pepper, Mushrooms and Spinach - Speed.
Pasta Free.
So had this as a pasta and meatballs with sauce, was lovely.



Popcorn - 3 syns.

Yay! Well done! Just think though, when you get that half lb to give you your 1 stone, you'll also probably have lost more which propels you further into losing the next half stone, so you'll get there faster! This is my logic I use when I'm soooo close to a mini target
 
Day 47...

Breakfast -

Lunch -
Went out to Lunch with my Mum, i picked the best thing that there was which was a Super food Salad.
It had quinoa, pearly barley, pea's, broccoli, salad leaves, sunflower seeds and avocado and it came in a mustard and lemon dressing, with some home made potato wedges, which did have some oil on them but not tons, they weren't deep fried. I know probably quite high in sead's but it is technically " healthy " and was the best thing on there, i could have picked soooooo much worse, so proud that i didn't.

I did how ever have half a rocky road cake, sooooooooo... haha. And you know what?! I didn't even enjoy it?! I only had half and gave half away, so that's another positive! Lol.

That will be all my syns for the day used there, but i had a lovely day with my Mum and was well worth it.


Dinner -
Wholemeal Pasta - Free.
Speedy Veg sauce - Tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, peppers and spinach - Speed.


Normally if i have been " bad " i would just throw the day away, but i come home and got right back on track and had a good dinner and Im ready to go again tomorrow, so hopefully it doesn't have too much of an affect on next week, but at least i have the full week to be extra good.

You did really well. I wouldn't be extra good, just follow the plan as normal. Sometimes if we're "extra good" we feel deprived and then problems occur. Well done and glad you had a good time with your mum.
